Aska Retreat - Pet Friendly | Hot Tub | Foosball | Arcade Games
We all need an escape sometimes, and the Aska Retreat is a beautiful place to make that happen! Cozy, relaxed, and peaceful, it's a truly beautiful place with wonderful amenities. Located in the Aska Adventure Area next to the Toccoa River, you're only a short 10-minute drive from the beauty, charm, and fun of downtown Blue Ridge.
The owners named Aska Retreat this way because they view the cabin as a retreat from the everyday and from their busy lives. The Aska Adventure Area brings a wonderful serenity not found in many other places. It's a place they escape to rest, recover, get back in touch with nature, and reconnect with family and friends. They hope that you can do the same as well!
As you step inside, you'll notice that this is an authentic log wood cabin, and you'll love the fresh and calm ambiance throughout. The expansive decks are truly something to see to believe. The main level deck wraps around the cabin with incredible mountain views from every angle. Enjoy taking a seat in the screened-in area off the kitchen with your favorite beverage. A great lower deck can be found off of the game room and is where the private hot tub is located.
Sink into the microsuede couch or chair and take the day off. Marvel at the lovely cathedral ceilings and wood-burning fireplace in the living room. The kitchen is an excellent place for the whole family to enjoy making a meal together. And we mean the entire family. Aska Retreat is dog-friendly and even has a dog bed and water bowls handy for your furry friend.
Bring the whole family down to the game room and enjoy making some new memories while playing some of your favorite games. Enjoy a plethora of board games, card games, a foosball table, a two-player wine barrel arcade game with 412 loaded games, and more!
Each of the bedrooms is decorated with traditional cabin style quilts featuring bears, deer, and forest scenes. The owners continued the rustic, outdoorsy vibe throughout the house, even down to the furnishings! The primary bedroom and living area are furnished with log wood pieces, and a tree branch bed can be found in the main level guest room.
Coziness and comfort are priorities for the owners, so guests can find additional blankets throughout the cabin. In the evening the deck is the best place to relax, with the gas fire pit burning and the deck cap lights illuminating the night.
The Aska Retreat is also near some beautiful spots around the area where you can revel in the beauty of nature and also enjoy some of the local delights. The owners personally love the Iron Bridge Cafe down the street, especially their biscuits and gravy! Also, enjoy Bearclaw Winery, Mercier Apple Orchard, and the Black Sheep restaurant, all within close proximity.
If you are looking for coziness and relaxation, Aska Retreat is for you! Book your stay now!

The cabin was perfect for our family. We loved the location. It was close enough to town but secluded enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Loved the view and the outdoor fire pit.

This property was great for a family getaway, not far from downtown Blue Ridge and also close to many other attractions. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, well stocked in the kitchen as well to make meals. We especially loved the outdoor fire pit, amount of deck space, and wood burning fireplace inside. Would definitely recommend this property!

Everything was great about our stay. We had plenty of smores made around the fire . We saw tons of deer and HUGE squirrels. Hot tub was a hit also. It does get a little chilly downstairs at night, just be mindful of that. Overall our stay was perfect.
This was a very nice home. I would have liked to know that the bedrooms were all on separate floors since we did have small children, but everything worked out well! Bonus points for having a closed off deck that the kids and dogs could run around on! Thank you for a great stay! Nicest cabin we’ve stayed in!

We are also glad that everything worked out with the bedroom arrangement. For future reference though, the bedroom floor breakdown for our listings will be one of the bullet points under Amenities. We hope to host you again soon!
This place is absolutely gorgeous! Plenty of room & things to do! We didn’t have power the first couple hours we arrived but it was due to a storm so it was out of anyone’s control. Everything was super clean. No complaints at all.

My family felt right at home in this cabin. It was clean, quiet, and peaceful. We enjoyed the enclosed outdoor porch- perfect for hanging out with everyone while drinking our coffee in the morning and making s’mores at night around the fire pit. Would love to go back when the leaves start to change in October. Thank you for sharing your home with us! Definitely will be coming back!
All the best,
Elizabeth

We are always happy to hear someone say "my family felt right at home"! Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us and for sharing this kind review! The leaves are beautiful in October but we look forward to hosting you when you and your family are able to make your way back to us!
Aska Retreat is a beautiful home. I loved sitting on the deck in the morning waiting for the sun to rise. The turkeys came to visit us every day. I loved being able to walk down the hill and across the bridge for a great hike! The location was close to Aska Farms where we went for a family wedding on Saturday and Sunday. And the house was close to the downtown area. Loved the restaurants and shopping and Catholic church in town. The house was very cozy and comfortable for us.
This cabin has 3 spacious and private bedrooms (1 each level). It was clean, nicely decorated, had everything we needed in the kitchen (and labeled 😬) and had a fun game room. Loved the real fireplace in the living room. We didn’t use the hot tub but it looked nice. We brought our 2 small dogs and the spacious deck was closed in so was perfect for them to hang out with us safely. Gas fire pit is the perfect touch. Close enough to town, but off the main road and very few cabins near by, so it was very quiet with pretty views!

Nice property. Somewhat dirty though. My dog kept sniffing things under the couch. There were crumbs under the couches and a dried up marshmellow(yuk) in the cushions. It made me think, what else is not clean.
We had a perfect Father's Day weekend! The cabin is even better than pictured. It is beautifully decorated, very clean, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The setting is very private with a beautiful view. You truly get the best of both worlds here being able to enjoy the peace and wildlife of a cabin in the woods, while downtown Blue Ridge with great shops and restaurants, Bearclaw Winery, tubing and hiking are all an easy drive away. We all (our 2 pups included) enjoyed the large deck with fire pit overlooking the mountains. The hot tub was much needed after a full day of hiking. The beds were very comfortable and well appointed. Thank you for sharing your beautiful retreat. We will be back!
