The lake and the property were beautiful. The sunrise every morning over the lake was spectacular. The home was wonderful and very welcoming. Maria, our host, was always quick to answer our questions.

House was perfect for our vacation with family. The location is great with many lakes nearby. The lake it is located on is on the smaller side and you are not able to access the other lakes through the channel unless you use a small boat or kayak. However, we were able to catch a few small fish off the dock and did take the kayaks out. The beds were not the comfiest. Overall, our stay there was good.

2025 Ice Hole Challenge Annual Fishing Tournament

We chose Alexandria for our annual fishing tournament this year. We like the fact we were on a lake, around a town and had access to several lakes in the area. The house was warm and cozy, plenty of room for all of us plus our ice fishing gear. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this property if you are looking. Communication with owner was great.

Great place for extended family with small kids

Spacious, comfortable with small-kid friendly bathroom (i.e. toilet seat insert). Large yard with dock on small shallow lake & kayaks & paddle boat. Lots to do locally.

Family Getaway

This home was cozy yet spacious for 3 families. We enjoyed the beautiful deck, fishing off the dock, campfires, and enjoying time outside playing yard games. The home was clean and host was very responsive.

Great multi-family rental!

Great rental with the perfect layout for multiple families. It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, the area was beautiful, and it was close to downtown Alexandria. The owner was accomodating and quick to communicate.

We loved it!! There was an issue with the security code, but Tom solved it. I don’t like the plastic dishes. We had an issue with the refrigerator. The ice maker stopped working and it seemed to quit cooling. I think you should have a blender there. I am going to try to book another visit for August, if we would be welcomed back.

The lake is peaceful - perfect for kayaking with the 3 kayaks and a double provided with rental. House was immaculate and very accommodating to 2 families. Great time.

We were a group of 8 women. We stayed and went to the grape stomp. We had a great time! The house was wonderful and as described. We all loved the comfy couch in the living room! The deck and the view were awesome as well!

Positive reviews from all 8 adults. The house is very nice. Nice deck to enjoy the view of the lake. New dock with a couple chairs and umbrella. Better lake access by the state would be nice.

Loved the deck and overlooking water. Plenty of room for 7 and clean. Disappointed in grill as not clean or usable. More kitchen towels were needed also. Close to fun things in Alexandria so that was nice! Would stay again!!

Bitter Sweet Experience

This is a great property as a vacation rental. Unfortunately we were not here for a vacation. We came to Alexandria for a celebration of life for my brother, and the house on Taylor Lake proved to be an ideal place for some of the family members to stay for the 2 days we were here. We did not have time to enjoy any of the amenities, but it was more enjoyable and less expensive than four or five hotel rooms for 2 days.

Attention to detail

It was obvious the owners have tried to anticipate the needs of their guests, from a well-stocked kitchen to outside amenities. This house was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated with a large backyard. The owners were quick to respond to my questions. We rented a pontoon from nearby and enjoyed a day on the lake. Also attended a wedding at near by Carlos Creek Winery which is worth visiting. House is close enough to town for a quick grocery run. We would defintely recommend staying here.
