Great Stay in Boyne City

This was a wonderful house located conveniently near downtown Boyne City. Marilyn was great in communicating about the property and things to do in the area. We'd definitely stay again (and may just do so next year!).

Excellent Stay

Great house. Very clean. Host was very helpful throughout the stay. Very close to town with plenty of dining options. 5 minutes to the ski slopes. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Home Away From Home

This property is perfect for a getaway with family or friends. It is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and has everything you might need. It is also conveniently close to shops and restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, and I would definitely stay again if I visit Boyne City.

Summer Stay

The house was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The host was extremely attentive and close by during our stay. Boyne City is the perfect summer getaway and we enjoyed our stay while in the area for our daughter’s softball tournament at Rotary Park.

Boyne City

The house was great, very clean and updated. Walkable to the downtown area which is very nice. We rented a boat on the lake and had meals downtown. We would definitely stay again and appreciate the hospitality of the owners. Thank you for having us!

Boyne mt stay

Pleasant Quick Ski Trip

Exactly as advertised three bedroom, one bath neighborhood digs. 10 minutes from mountain. Clean and well-maintained. Only wish there was a second bathroom.

Boyne for the 4th

Great host great house. The house was nicely a/c upstairs and down. Close to everything downtown, restaurants, shopping, and bike trails. Avalanche mountain just 2 blocks away. Everything boyne has to offer. Highly recommend.

The property is clean and all amenities provided

The only issue we had was concern of the slippery shower? We didn't feel very safe in the shower as the floor was very slippery. Overall the home was fantastic.

Maier’s Boyne Vacation

Spent two weeks in Boyne at a wonderful VRBO property. Played lots of golf, enjoyed the many restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful northern MI area. Our rental was a lovely older home that has been recently renovated. The kitchen and bath are particularly well done and there is also a comfortable living room and BR on the first floor. There is also a laundry with washer and dryer and an additional room with a 2nd TV. Upstairs are two more BR’s. The property is within walking distance of downtown Boyne making it perfect evening walk for ice cream!

Pretty good stay

The house itself was nicely decorated and contemporary. The kitchen and the bathroom were newly renovated and looked very nice. Marilyn was a great host and very accommodating. She went the extra mile to make sure that our stay was good. My only complaint was that the stairs were treacherous to go up and down on and the upstairs rooms were a bit hot. The air conditioning didn't work well up there. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

Erica Thank you for your concerns. The A/C is brand new so not sure why this was an issue. The thermostat was clearly assessible for you to control the temperature settings. The stairs are narrow but certainly not treacherous

Comfortable house for a family

We had a wonderful stay at the house. It was spacious for our family of 4 and really well equipped compared to some other places. The place was really clean and the owners were very available to answer questions. I had to work during our stay and I used the bonus room at the back of the house while everyone else watched tv. It worked great. We would definitely stay here again if we go back to the area. We appreciated the info about the stairs in other reviews but this was not an issue for us at all. We ate in the whole time and the kitchen worked great for us. It was a wonderful short getaway to the north. We skied at Boyne Mountain and it is only 10 minutes away.

Quaint, updated house close to downtown

Our stay was excellent. The house is very nicely updated and only a few blocks from downtown Boyne City. We regularly walked or road our bikes to nearby parks, beaches, shops, and restaurants. The owners live nearby and were very responsive before and during our stay. They even welcomed us with fresh flowers and pastries - very thoughtful! The only negative we experienced was with regard to the bedrooms. The listing wasn't clear that the bathroom is on the main floor and the bedrooms are upstairs which meant a walk up and down a narrow and somewhat steep flight of stairs during the night to use the bathroom. For families with little kids (like ours) or elderly this might not be ideal. Also, I would agree with another reviewer that the AC just doesn't quite make it to the upstairs bedrooms very well and on warm nights it was a bit toasty. Overall though we had a great visit and would recommend this house and the owners!

Tom. Thanks for you nice review. This home was built during a time period when most bedrooms were located on the second floor and stairway codes were different. However, they are navigable. We do offer a 1st floor bedroom near the bathroom for guests with small children and/or require access to bathroom facilities during the night. Also, we are in the process of addressing and fixing the lack of air in the upstairs bedrooms. Fortunately, this summer the nights have been cooler than normal allowing guests to open windows for cooler air to supplement the central air. Again, thank you for recommending this house as we strive to deliver the best experience possible for our guests in this northern town.
