Be lulled to sleep by the peaceful river under the stars of a beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain view. We love the island feeling it has with a little log waterfall and a lot of natural sand between our toes.
We can provide new queen air mattress for A frame, up to 4 hammocks, or feel free to bring your own, a tent, a small camper, etc. The road in is relatively flat, but is natural ground.
A primitive outhouse is on site as well as a gas grill and firewood.
Dogs are welcome if picked up after.
-The space- You'll be staying at our favorite little oasis on the South Fork of the Mitchell River. We call it our campground and love to put our toes in the natural sand the river provides. It's tucked away behind river bottom fields and has a gorgeous view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
It's not far from Stone Mountain State Park, the Mountain to Sea Trail, many local vineyards, breweries, Historic Downtown Elkin, and Andy Griffith's own Mayberry!
New this year- Rustic A frame screened in cabin! Includes privacy curtains, rug, queen size air mattress with protective cover. Bring your own linens, but please let us know if you'd rather the mattress not be set up! (Please no dogs in the cabin)
-Guest access- The river bottom fields, which include the campground, the river, and the creek in another field. Welcome to use the pond as well if our other listing overlooking it isn't booked, just please communicate with us if so.
-Other things to note- We have a new quiet generator that is available to rent if not in use by our other campsite. Be ready to enjoy nature!
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.
