The lake house was outstanding with the spectacular view, spacious back yard, huge live oaks, a dock filled with things to play (a rope swing into the water, a trampoline in the water, paddle boards etc), a small efficiency in addition to the four bedrooms inside, a kitchen filled with cool gadgets and lots of room! And Amy, the host, was so accommodating, friendly and responsive. The days spent there were filled with peaceful sunsets, fun filled days and even S’mores around the fire pit. Thank you, Amy.

We have been going to Lake Livingston for years and this property is one of my favorite locations. It’s about 7-10 minutes from Walmart in Livingston, walking distance to the Wet Deck, super close to Beacon Bay, and available for DoorDash delivery. By boat it is the closest distance to the island. We put our boat in at Beacon Bay and were able to park the truck and trailer in the driveway easily. The cove was calm and we tied the boat to the dock overnight. The kids loved the dock with 2 paddle boards, a rope swing and water trampoline. WiFi and AC at the house worked great (our priorities), and everything was well stocked. There was plenty of room for our group of 7- which included 3 teen girls who slept in the bunk room. The owner was very responsive to my questions.Overall we enjoyed our time here and will return.

We had a wonderful family reunion on the owners beautiful home on the lake. There were a few issues with the city shutting off the water overnight. The owners reached out promptly to resolve the issue. Luckily we had water by morning. This was of no fault of the owners but still a little inconvenient…other than that wonderful stay on the lake. We caught catfish off the dock. It was a plus having the marina and great restaurant around the corner. I highly recommended booking their property.

Family birthday weekend

We stayed here to celebrate several family member’s birthdays. Everyone had a great time. The house was just as advertised. The road to get there is rather bumpy but that did not effect our stay. There were a ton of gnats outside and several spider webs, both of which are very common and expected for the lake. Just a heads up if you have younger kids that don’t like bugs.

Broken toilet seat

So just received email that home owners charge insurance for a broken toilet seat that was already broken for weeks before and tile floor was broken covered by rug in bathroom downstairs master forced to get insurance and it’s like paying for repairs they already needed. They were nice house had good views be aware of insurance claims against you

Hi Joseph, this is a misunderstanding. I did not know the toilet seat was already broken as it had not been reported until after your stay. I have never filed a claim on VRBO and did not know it would even alert you. I've had dozens of VRBO guests pay into VRBO insurance and have never filed a claim against it. I thought it would pay out without even alerting you (since you've already paid for insurance). If it's asking you to pay, please just decline. I'm definitely not trying to get tenants to pay for things that generally need to be repaired, but this is why tenants are required to pay for insurance so we are both covered. I've had tons of guests pay into insurance and this is my first claim (for $53 dollars). If you can, I hope you will consider updating your review.
