Broadkill Beach House- Dog Friendly!

Dreaming of a beach vacation, love the feeling of sand between your toes & listening to the music of the waves? Broadkill Beach is exactly where you need to be!

The Sandbox is nestled among the evergreens and beach plums on a beautiful quiet street, just 1 short block away from Broadkill Beach. Walk along our pristine, pet friendly crescent beach for miles in either direction collecting interesting shells and treasures. Watch the dolphins play, as you watch your kids safely splash in the gentle waters of the Delaware Bay.

This unique home offers space for family gatherings with the ability of privacy. This beach house is perfect for family bonding, has all the comforts of home with natural light streaming in the windows, multiple places to relax, even an electric fireplace and free WiFi.

There are 2 separate levels, which together can accommodate 13 guests.
Each level has its own Split AC System, 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, full kitchen, dining table, living room (with sleeper futon), and a 3 season porch. The Washer & Dryer is available for your use for light items in the lower level. Lower level full bath has a shower stall, upper level full bath as a shower/tub. Off-street parking available for 4 vehicles.

Living room (lower level): Queen Futon
Bedroom 3 (upper level): Double bed
Bedroom 4 (upper level): Double bed & Twin (Bunk bed)

The 3 season porches provide a peaceful sitting area for coffee or quiet meals, while taking in the sunrise or sunset. The two full Kitchens are stocked and loaded with all the necessities for making and serving meals at home. Multiple dining tables give room for family meals, games, puzzles and family fun. Settle in at the end of a long day in either living room to enjoy streaming your favorite shows/movies on the Roku TV.

The beach access is one block away at the end of a road, a very convenient and an easy walk from the house. In the shed at the end of the driveway, you’ll find a wagon to use for your trips to the beach. When you comeback, wash off the sand in the outdoor shower and then fire up the propane grill for a family barbecue!

Broadkill offers a quiet, relaxing setting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Kick back and read a great book on the quiet beach without the crowds of the larger public beaches to disturb you. Dogs are permitted on the beach year around and you can have a bonfire on the beach too! Kids will enjoy the small waves of the Delaware Bay as you sit in the water nearby. Visit the Broadkill Store which offers fishing tackle, an assortment of grocery items, sandwiches and great milkshakes to order, a small gift area, and don't miss the homemade donuts on Saturday/Sunday!

GUEST ACCESS: Guests have access to both levels of the home and the driveway shed. Locked workshop at the rear of the house is private and off limits.

ITEMS TO BRING: Bath & beach towels, Bed linens, soaps, toiletries and paper products (TP, paper towels). Beach chairs and umbrellas are also recommended. We do have wagons available in the shed for you to use. You may find other items left behind from past guests.

LINEN RENTALS: Bed & Bath Linen rentals are available through Flip-a-Sheet. Happy to share details upon request.

Being that this unique home technically has 2 separate units, they can be rented out separately. Please reach out to inquire about renting just one unit. Blocked dates may be available for single unit rental.
