Located just 30 feet from the surf on Kauai's sunny south shore, our 1 bedroom, 1 bath, 900 sq. ft., professionally decorated, fully equipped, OCEANFRONT Poipu condo Hawaii vacation rental at the famed Kuhio Shores offer those planning a Hawaii vacation in Poipu Beach some of the most spectacular ocean views, sunrises and sunsets found on the beautiful Island of Kauai, Hawaii.

This exceptional, newly remodeled unit juts out from the main building, putting you 10 feet closer to the ocean and providing totally unobstructed views.

Kuhio Shores is a 75 unit oceanfront condo complex with beaches on both sides, yet total privacy from the lanai because of the 20 foot greenbelt to the ocean. This vacation rental has the closest oceanfront units on all of Kauai, Hawaii.

Situated on a promontory, the building is protected from wave action by a reef offshore, making it ideal for wave, turtle, and whale watching. The ocean just below the condo provides some of the best snorkeling on the island and beyond the reef are three of the south shore's most popular surfing sites; P.K.'s, Centers and Acid Drops.

We loved our stay for a week in this unit. The bed was comfortable and the size of the condo was very spacious for the two of us. We love the Poipu and Kōloa area in particular over the rest of Kaua’i. It feels like home to us when we are there. Kūhiō Shores also is our favorite! The property is kept so nice and clean. We just love it!

Great older clean condo in quiet complex with outstanding views next to Beach house restaurant (great snorkeling in front of restaurant). Condo has enough dishes for 2, a coffee maker and grinder (very loud grinder, we ground coffee in the evening so we didn't wake our neighbors. (bring your own coffee). There are some odds and ends toiletries left over from visitors but plan to bring your own personal items & Shampoo and bar soap, liquid soap provided at sinks. Laundry is coin op and on the same floor as the unit. There is a change machine available. It cost 2.50 to wash and 2.50 to dry 1 for laundry soap. The community BBQ was clean and always available. Would stay again. Great experience

What a comfortable and well-equipped condo! Perfect for the two of us and we made the most of it! We spent most of our time there on the balcony, amazed at the spectacular views both sunrise and sunset. And whale watching was superb every day. Easy access to beaches, coastal walks and restaurants. The kitchen and dining made it easy to stay in for meals. A genuinely nice place to stay in south Kauai!

We had an incredible stay. We didn't leave the condo much and just enjoyed watching the sea turtles, surfers, waves, sun, moon and rainbows from the comfortable lanai. Bob helped us ptomptly when needed. Would definitely stay again.

We really loved staying here. We watched the sea turtles right off the balcony every evening. We even saw rays and fish if the sun was just right. The unit was exactly as described and we would definitely return. Communication was also quick and exactly what we needed when we had questions.

Great condo. View was spectacular! South facing made watching sunrise and sunsets truly magical! Facilities were good. A/C made the temperature tolerable for us! Load up on quarters for the common washer/dryer. We ate in the condo a handful of times during our ten day trip and had plenty of dishes, pans, etc…BBQ facilities were good-watch out for the parakeets! Parking/lighting was good. People left extra food to share on the table in front of the elevators!! We had a great time on the island and will eventually be back! Mahalo nui loa!

This property has the most beautiful view! We watched the waves, sea turtles and surfers from our balcony. The balcony is totally private, and you can see up and down the coast totally unobstructed. It is in a perfect location near Poipu Beach. Close to restaurants and shopping. The condo is very well equipped in the kitchen and all rooms are comfortable.

Why they chose this property

We have traveled to over 38 countries and hundreds of cities, staying at some of the finest hotels in the world. In 2007 we took a 30th anniversary getaway, and departing from our normal hotel stay, we decided to rent an oceanfront condo, direct from the owner, at Kuhio Shores. Spending 10 days there and observing the beauty of Kauai during that time, we were struck with the Aloha spirit. Keep in mind that we had visited the Hawaiian islands approximately 15 times before, but there was a specialness here not found elsewhere. It was at that point we decided we no longer wanted to be just visitors, rather owners. And, in our retirement years be able to spend significantly more time here.

What makes this property unique
