Very nice place to stay

It was a very nice, clean place to stay. I would suggest getting a bigger variety of cooking utensils and make sure there is plenty of extra supplies (trash bags, toilet paper, batteries, etc). My kids and I really enjoyed our stay and we appreciated the wonderful apartment.

Terrible

Only one room was supposed to be 2 bedrooms. Grass was high. House smelled bad. Only one parking spot. Owner was very rude and lied about parking area. Didn’t stay one night and was refused any money back from owner.

This incident could have been avoided if Mark had read the description and looked at all the photos before booking. The ad clearly states that this is a one-bedroom apartment in a three-unit building. The pictures clearly show all areas of the apartment. Parking is one car per unit in the covered carport. Anyone booking an apartment in any downtown area should expect parking to be limited. Mark had two large trucks and a motorcycle trailer. Had he inquired about parking before showing up, this could have been avoided. Again, reading the ad is critical to a good experience. Mark's stay was during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally during which rooms are reserved months in advance. I informed Mark I would not be able to rerent the space due to the last moment notice. He told me I should keep the money he paid. Please let this be your warning to communicate with your hosts prior to arrival to ensure that the unit meets your needs.

Host cancelled 4 days prior to arrival

I had this Vrbo booked for over a month. I messaged the host four days prior to arrival asking if there was a keurig in the unit. She responded yes, but I couldn’t stay there because her mother was living there now. But she NEVER told me this ever. I would have shown up without a place to stay. Inexcusable! I had to cancel my vacation.
