The generous open-plan kitchen and living area open directly onto a huge 20 sq meter balcony, creating seamless indoor / outdoor flow. The main bedroom also opens directly onto the balcony. Situated on the corner of the development, it gets light on two sides throughout the day.
The two large, light-filled bedrooms maintain the high stud throughout. Each has a large built-in wardrobe and access to their own bathroom. The gold-trimmed ensuite and a semi-ensuite (accessible directly from the second bedroom and dining room) feature underfloor heating, marble tiles, a heated towel rail and an epic rain shower. There is a work-from-home office set up in each of the rooms, with a large oak desk and stylish chair. The desks can be disassembled and stored if not required. Quality linens and towels are provided.
The apartment has been decorated with high-quality, designer furniture and fixtures throughout, including a six-seat linen sofa with oversized cushions, swamp Kauri coffee table, rattan and recycled elm wood occasional chair, all natural light fittings and large-format framed prints by renowned NZ photographers. There is a heat pump located in the living room that heats/cools the entire apartment quickly. The balcony has a beautiful Merbau hardwood dining table, 8 director chairs, a comfortable sofa and lounger and a gas barbecue.
The kitchen is equipped for a chef, and includes a range of porcelain pots and pans, glassware and handmade ceramics. There is also a De’Longhi espresso maker and full-sized dishwasher. The apartment is filled with plants, including a NZ fern, fiddle leaf fig tree, china doll tree, camellia plants and a huge Monstera! There is a new LG washing machine and an LG dryer, plus a sink in the separate laundry room.
GUEST INFO This apartment is located in a double grammar zone (Mount Albert Grammar and Auckland Grammar, plus Kowhai Intermediate and Newton Central School). Both the rail and bus lines are a few minutes walk away.
The best of Auckland’s cafes, restaurants and bars are just moments away with Ponsonby, Karangahape Rd, New Market and the CBD all within walking distance. There is a Countdown and Farro less than 10 minutes away for all your grocery needs. Not to mention the great cafes that are literally doors away in Eden Terrace and Mount Eden Village!
