The property was exactly how it was listed. It was very clean and Cathryn was extremely responsive to all communication. We will consider renting the entire property with family/friends next time to have more privacy since there is no private outdoor space. That was clearly covered in the listing though so no fault to the property owner.

Anniversary trip 2024

We came down for our 25th anniversary. There was a minor glitch with rental property, which was immediately remedied. The house and location were spot on with very short walks to the beach and stores.stores

Great little cottage!

We had a phenomenal time in Emerald Isle and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations here. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and the owner provides wagons and a few beach toys, if needed. We would’ve enjoyed more towels or a washer/dryer. The location is central to a few businesses, and everything else is a short bike ride away. I had a lovely time and look forward to visiting again.

Great little get away

This was a great little place for my twin boys and I to spend a few beach days. Very clean and welcoming. Close to everything we wanted to do. Walking distance to the beach. My only complaints are there is only one TV and when traveling with kids, that can be problematic. The neighbor has a motion light that comes on constantly all through the night.

Overall the place (unit B of the duplex) was nice. It was clean and well stocked. Both showers (in doors and out doors) were well stocked with shampoo and conditioner. It had a beach wagon with boogie boards and chairs. Plenty of board games on the screened in back porch. It was about a 5 minute walk to the beach. It's located in walking distance to ice cream, restaurants, and surf shops. It's a duplex, so depending on your neighbors, you might have to be tolerant of noise. The owner was very accommodating as we had to check out late.I'm giving this property 3 stars because of a few other things:- The unit we were in (B) definitely had settlement problems. The floor was on a slant. You could place a water bottle on the floor and it would roll to one side without any assistance. - The kings size bed was oriented such that it felt like you were sleeping down hill. The mattress was soft...not much back support. - The sheets on the bed were low grade sheets. This is an easy fix, just buy some high thread count sheets and it would make a big difference. - The double bed in the other room makes squeaking sounds every time your move. Also not very comfortable.- The furniture was uncomfortable. The sofa cushions were worn and old. Looked okay, but not comfortable to sit in for any length of time. There was a chair in the corner of the room was out right broken on one side of the cushion (no support). We love the area, but likely won't rent from this unit again.
