A much needed getaway

Even though our stay was early May it was still overall warm enough weather except for the night before departure when we had a big storm. The house was lovely and relaxing. None of us wanted to leave.

Overall the house fit our family’s needs and had an enjoyable stay in Salvo, but we were disappointed with the pool and hot tub. We paid 600 to have the pool heated for the week and it didn’t work once while we were there. We have a pool at home and we know what a heated pool feels like. No refund offered by management. The hot tub cover is falling apart and all the debris from it was in the hot tub so kind of gross. While sitting at the pool one day one of the 3rd level window screens fell off almost hitting a family member. Also upon arrival there were nails and screws everywhere, in the pool, on the deck. Tiki bar definitely needs some TLC, lights are hanging by a thread and very dirty. Property management was prompt the first 2 days, then didn’t respond until we were checking out.

A service technician did inspect the unit, confirmed it was operating safely, and we are currently awaiting a replacement part to complete the repair. While pool heat was not included in this reservation, we understand expectations may vary and always aim to address any concerns during a stay. We also take your comments regarding cleanliness and exterior maintenance seriously. Any reported items such as debris, loose fixtures, or safety concerns are reviewed immediately by our team so they can be addressed promptly. We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to review these items. We're glad you were still able time with your family during your stay.
