The Space:
• Private King Bed Studio in Carolina Beach!
• Hot Tub, Fire Pit, Fenced Yard & Outdoor Shower
• Full kitchen with all essential amenities
• 2 Complimentary Beach Chairs
• High-speed WiFi & Smart Roku TVs
• Pack ‘n’ play and high chair available if desired.
• Parking available for 2 cars in front of the home.
• We supply bed linens & bath towels. Beach towels NOT provided.
• We also provide enough hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, & trash bags to get you started upon arrival. However, if you are staying longer than a couple nights, please plan to supplement with your own supplies based on your personal needs.

Hot Tub Policy:
• Pets are NOT allowed in the hot tub
• You are using the hot tub at your own risk
• Pregnant women, persons with heart disease, diabetes or high blood pressure problems and elderly people should not use a hot tub or spa without a doctor’s permission.
• We do not advise young children to use the hot tub. In the event that you allow a minor to use the hot tub, they must be supervised at all times.
• Limit time in the hot tub or spa to no more than 30 minutes.
• No glass products in or around the hot tub.

Pet Fee:
• Please message us for pet approval prior to booking.
• Pets MUST be added to your reservation during the booking process. Once added, the $150 pet fee is included as part of the nightly rate (spread out equally over the course of the stay) and in the total price at checkout.
• Pet fee is non-refundable and is a flat rate for the stay.
• Limit is 2 dogs; no other animals permitted.
• Must pick up all droppings from pet(s).
• Dogs must be fully housebroken.
• Dogs are not permitted on furniture or linens.

House Rules:
• NO SMOKING. If anything is smoked inside, you will incur a $200 fee for deodorization treatment.
• Check-in time is 4:00PM and check out by 10:00AM. Early check ins and late check outs are not available due to our cleaning schedules. Unapproved late check outs may result in a $200 fee.
• No parking on premises before check in time or after check out time.
• Self check-in with keyless PIN code lock
• In order to avoid potential staining, please do NOT use bleach to clean anything during your stay. We have professional cleaners who will use bleach appropriately in between guests to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
• Only stainless steel cleaners may be used on stainless steel appliances. Other cleaners will cause stainless steel to rust, so please do not use them on the appliances.
• Visitors must be approved by the host.
• Be respectful of our neighbors. Keep noise volume low and no walking through neighbors yards.
• Do not burn incense, essential oils, or similar items. These scents are difficult to remove before the next guest checks in, and some guests may have sensitivity to smells.
• Guest must sign a rental agreement.

Nice place. Hot tub needed cleaning and rental host was very responsive. Hot tub maintenance company was unable to clean it until the day before our departure.

We stayed at Star of the Sea in Carolina Beach, NC. The interior was clean, and the listing photos inside were accurate. Communication from the owners was prompt and appreciated. Being able to bring my dog was a plus.However, the outdoor space did not match the listing. The photos appear filtered and didn’t reflect the actual condition. The sectional appeared different than pictured, and the cushions were very dirty, making it unusable. The listing also showed a rug, but the area was just bare concrete.The biggest disappointment was the hot tub. It was dirty upon arrival. After reporting it, someone came the next day, but the cleaning seemed incomplete. The water never cleared, and I did not feel comfortable using it. The listing states the hot tub is new, but that was not my impression.There were also no instructions for the propane fire pit, so I didn’t feel safe attempting to use it.The fenced yard was sufficient, but I had to closely monitor my small dog due to gaps in the slats. A floodlight in the backyard would also be helpful for nighttime use.Overall, while the interior and communication were positives, the outdoor space and unusable hot tub were disappointing.

Beautiful location, close walk to the beach, but also on a quiet street. Studio was clean, well organized, and dog friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would most definitely recommend/stay again. Thank you to the owners for making access to the rental simple. I have stayed at others where the check-in process has had many steps, this was no so.

Cute and quaint

It was so nice to stay in a nice clean place. Very quiet. This little cottage is so cozy and perfect for 2. It is located 2 block from the beach. Relatively short walk. You will need a cart to get your things to the beach. There is a beautiful greenway in the very back of the neighborhood. Perfect for walking your dog safely. Only 5 short minutes from the boardwalk. We really enjoyed meeting the hosts. Super friendly. We loved it.
