It was so great to stay in a house in the neighborhood. I grew up in. Some friends and I came in for a high school reunion from different parts of the world. We had an absolutely fabulous time.At this house.
We enjoyed our stay! The house is a great size for our big family. We traveled with grandparents, teenagers and a baby. It is close to a nice beach and about 40 mins to the Milwaukee zoo. It was a very nice and relaxing few days staying at this property. We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts are great.
The house was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We hosted our rehearsal dinner there and everyone said how amazing the place was! So clean and decorated so cute! I messaged the owners questions and they always messaged me back immediately, and were so accommodating! They made my wedding weekend so much easier! I highly recommend staying here, I know I will again!
This is a nice home with 4 bedrooms. It can accommodate a large family. There is a tv in all the rooms. It has a nice living room and kitchen with a nice stove and refrigerator. It is very homey and very comfortable. The home is close to shopping and restaurants only a short drive away and only a few blocks from the lake. My family wanted to stay longer.
The house is well situated, just minutes from the lake and Main Street. We felt completely at home; the owners have decorated and appointed the house beautifully - every detail has been considered and implemented. Communication was easy and they solved issues (i.e. getting the drive shovelled in a snow storm) before we could even ask about them. The back porch and yard are wonderful for relaxing. We loved the house and the neighbourhood and found it difficult to leave!
We stayed at the Red Brick historical home for an Engagement party celebration. The historical home was very clean, comfortable, and just what our family was hoping for. We really enjoyed the back porch, fire table and new grill. The upstairs bathroom was newly renovated and the beds were extremely comfortable. In the morning we walked to the lake and enjoyed searching for sea glass. The location was perfect! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It was a fun filled weekend!
The beds were comfy, the linens were luxurious, the Kringle was a delicious surprise, the artwork was authentic Racine, the bubbles popped for our two year old, the porch was cozy, the bandaids were helpful, the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, spices, and a Keurig. What am I missing? It was only a two night stay. We will return. Thank you!
Kitchen was beautiful and had everything we needed. The only utensil missing was a pizza cutter. We loved the coffee options and big clean fridge. The kitchen was super cute. Food and groceries were only about an 11min drive that was super convenient. Neighbors were kind and it was a very quiet neighborhood.
Our hosts were wonderful! They were very easy to work with and very responsive to any questions. The neighborhood and house were beautiful. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our family weekend. We would stay again!
Historic home provided a great space for our family during our stay. The bonus was proximity to walking trails along the lakeshore and strolls through the historic home district.
Very clean and spacious home, accommodated our family of 6 very well! Ann was super communicative throughout our stay. The property is full of a lot of extra toiletries if you happen to forget anything at home. Great historic neighborhood and super close to the lake!
Ann and Dan's place is a modest, ivy-covered 100 year old home in a beautiful part of Racine just two blocks from the water and surrounded by stately private residences. When you enter the back door of the property, you may think you've entered your great-grandparents home, but a few steps up into the newly renovated kitchen and you'll be impressed with the updates and lovely touches throughout including quality bedding and plenty of linens and towels. The home was scrupulously clean and was a perfect place for our family of four. We used all the bedrooms but one and enjoyed the spacious upstairs bathroom, sitting room attached to the queen primary suite, and the lovely window-filled living room. The kitchen had everything we needed for meal preparation and the dining room provided the perfect location for family meals and games. Be sure to head down to the water and hang a right to find the little hidden beach at the end of the street. Just bring your bug spray! Our favorite things were the SC Johnson building, Wind Point Lighthouse and the Red Onion and Yardarm restaurants. Ann took care of all our needs and even provided extra fans to help us keep cool (we were there during a heat wave), but the AC did the job! Thanks for a lovely visit!
The location worked well for us, close to downtown Racine, WI
The house was large enough for us and close to downtown Racine which both were important to us. The shower was updated and clean, kitchen nice. The outside porch needed to be cleaned of spider webs. Ps, didn't see a toaster anywhere, it would have been nice.
What a lovely home and neighborhood - so comfy cozy. Perfect place for us to celebrate our son's college graduation. Hosts were awesome and so communicative. Answered questions very quickly. Perfect place to rest, relax, and enjoy special time with our son. Highly recommend!
We hosted our daughter’s wedding at The beautiful Dekoven Center. We stayed at this 1850s home on brick road in a lovely Racine neighborhood a few blocks from our wedding venue. It hosted my husband and me, our daughters and her bridal party. Charming home w lots of character.
Loved the blue tooth in the shower.
Hosts were wonderful! 10 stars!!!!
Great location close to Lake Michigan and tourist attractions. Plenty of rooms for a larger family. Well stocked and clean. Would definitely recommend!
The location of this property in the historic area is lovely and convenient to family activities such as parks, playground, beach, zoo. The house is spacious with nice personal touches by the hosts such as fresh flowers and local bakery goodies. It was easy to communicate with Dan and Ann, and they replied promptly. It has a spacious, beautiful yard and landscaping, plus Lake Michigan is only blocks away and an easy walk to enjoy.
We had an excellent stay at this beautiful historic home in Racine. The house was immaculate, and the decorations and antiques were a beautiful touch. Our host was very kind and flexible with check in, and even left us a Racine kringle for our stay. We will absolutely be booking again the next time we need a place to stay with space for all of our friends/family! Thanks again.
We had a great time and highly recommend this property. The owners were gracious hosts and communicated well throughout the process.
We look forward to returning in the future.
