The Mackerel Sky Suites are located on the edge of downtown Boothbay Harbor. Sidewalks will lead you to the center of our small town filled with shops and restaurants. The Boothbay Opera House, art galleries, the public library, and the town park are close by. The waterfront with all its boating options is just two blocks away. Set sail on a windjammer, take a scenic boat ride out to see puffins on Eastern Egg Rock, or catch the ferry out to Monhegan or Squirrel Island. Public trails offered by the Boothbay Region Land Trust, the town owned Barrett's Park, and our winding coastal roads will provide many opportunities to get out and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area. The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is 3.6 miles away. The Department of Marine Resources Aquarium is 2.6.

Wood floors, white walls, local artwork, and a clean uncluttered decorating style create a welcoming and relaxing space. Smart TVs have streaming options like Hulu, Netflix, and Prime. Ceiling fans are located in the living space and the bedrooms. Heat pumps provide central heat and air.

Wonderful stay

This place was fantastic. Super cozy, very clean, stocked with everything you would need, and very convenient location. Loved the little deck off the bedroom... great for reading or relaxing with your morning coffee. Deanne was very communicative which which I appreciated. Would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect Location in Boothbay Harbor

Easy walking distance to the harbor, shops, galleries, and restaurants. A very comfortable and private place to stay for two people. Easy checkin. Owner very responsive and helpful. Be aware: The unit is up one flight of stairs with no elevator.

Very clean, nice assortment of cooking dishes. Hosts were very kind and easily accessible. Perfect location for downtown access, 5” walk. The only thing I could not find was an ironing board. A regular size iron would have been nice. My bear-paw hand husband had a rough time with the small iron. A second mirror outside of the bathroom by an outlet would also have been great. Otherwise a perfect stay. Thank you!

Amazing location - never moved the car the entire trip

I had stayed in Boothbay a few times in rentals about 15 minutes out, but this location was unmatched. Having the convenience to walk to everything in the harbor and being able to do frequent drop offs from shopping trips really made staying in the harbor incredibly convenient. The unit itself was perfect for two of us. Enough space for us not to be in eachothers way and relax at night. Its also far enough from the bars and we never had any issue with noise at night. Overall would definitely stay again for our next trip. soace for u

We so enjoyed our stay. We didn't need a car to get around. We were close to town, restaurants and all the boat cruises. We enjoyed coming back to the apartment to rest whenever we wanted to. Thank you so much for sharing your space with us.

Perfect in Every Way!

This apartment was perfect in every way. Perfectly clean and well stocked with high end olive oil and coffee. Towels were super soft, Weber grill was great. Perfect size for 2 people very private and quiet, spent a lot of time on the deck. Perfect location literally walking 5-10 minutes to all shops and restaurants in Boothbay Harbor. Perfect hosts responded to questions and requests quickly and their house which is next to the rental was beautiful to look at spring flowers blooming beautifully! We will be back for sure❤️

Perfect for hot sleepers, these sheets will help you stay cool all night long. Made with 100% long-staple cotton, you’ll feel like you’re snuggling up in luxury every single night.” Cotton blankets and LL Bean comforters are supplied for the colder months. Just right pillows are essential for a good night’s sleep, which is why we use pillows from Casper. Their “pillow in a pillow” construction makes it easy for you to adjust the loft of your pillow. Casper pillows have a down alternative stuffing making them light and airy.

Additional comforts include a coffee station stocked with local coffee beans, a coffee grinder, and a selection of tea and hot chocolate. We also provide a selection of snacks to tide you over until your next meal. Visit our Thursday farmer’s market to stock your fridge with local produce, cheeses, meats, breads, and pastries. The cupboards are stocked with pots and pans and baking dishes as well as serving dishes and utensils.

Bathrooms are supplied with soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap. Bath towels, washcloths, hand towels and a bath mat are provided.

Go to the Thistle on Friday night for their standing room only happy hour. Have dinner at the Bistro and enjoy some of the best fried haddock anywhere. Watch trick-or-treaters parade down Townsend Ave at Halloween. Wear your pajamas to the early bird sale always held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Kick off the holiday season with the Harbor Lights celebration the first weekend in December. In the coldest winter months you can peruse the latest best sellers at Sherman's, catch a movie at the Harbor Theater, or take a winter walk along our quiet coastal roads.
