SeaGlass Cottage: Incredible waterfront Retreat!

Welcome to SeaGlass Cottage, an absolutely magical waterfront cottage in East Boothbay! SeaGlass is perched right next to the edge of Lineking Bay. You are so close, it feels like you are on a boat. Surrounded by stunning beauty and immersed in nature, it is not unusual to see seals, osprey and eagles. The rare, western exposure provides you with absolutely breathtaking sunsets. There is a great 200' long deep-water dock with a large sundeck and sitting area that has a swim ladder, and can accommodate anything from a kayak to a 28 foot boat. At low tide there is a large private rocky oceanfront area (this area is underwater at high tide so please don't think white sandy beach), that is great for beach combing, digging for clams or catching crabs. Bring your water shoes!

Seaglass is a very interesting and unique space. It was originally a small fish shack that has been expanded over the years. It has high ceilings, exposed beams and wainscotting throughout. It was decorated in fun coastal colors, and has all sorts of little nooks where you can relax with a book or a glass of wine. The bedroom is a second floor loft that is accessed by a small spiral staircase. The bathroom is on the main level. The space is small and well- designed, and is very much like being on a boat with the incredible views and well-utilized space.

Please note the unique access. Guests park up by the road, near the owner's house and will need to walk down an unpaved hill of about 85 yards to the cottage below. Please note that the owner has a small friendly dog, Linnie, who may greet you as you walk by. The owner keeps her boat at your dock but considers it to be your private space and will only use it to access her boat on occassion.

Just as magical the fourth stay as it was the first.

SeaGlass Cottage is one of my favorite places on earth. It feels like a fairy tale house. The owner Kelly Robbins always has everything looking brand new. I’m sure it’s not for everyone. The cottage is small and there is a fairly steep hill to negotiate, but the hill is what insures the privacy. Nothing I can say would reflect my feelings for Sea Glass cottage other than true love. Looking forward to next year.

Amazing Secluded Cottage

This cottage is absolutely amazing. Everything noted in the other reviews is true, there is a steep slope down and it has low headroom clearance in the bathroom. Those are facts, not negatives at least for us. We had a great time out exploring at low tide and the patio/dock is an awesome place to sit and enjoy the views. The cottage is beautifully appointed and was very clean. We loved our stay and can’t wait to chill on our next vacation here in Maine. Pam and Kelly were a breeze to deal with. So secluded you couldn’t even see a neighbor unless you went out to the end of the dock.

Breathtaking

We absolutely loved “Sea Glass!” It is a quaint cottage, perched on the edge of Linekin Bay, and built right into the rocks…affording a breathtaking, panoramic view of the bay. The setting was private and calming, and we spent much of our time there relaxing out on the deck. The house itself provides views from indoors, as well as out and was well-stocked with all you could need. The upstairs bed was comfortable, and luxuriously decked out with crisp white down pillows, comforter and duvet. It was my favorite space in the house with a beautiful view of the water! Finally, East Boothbay is truly one of my favorite places in Maine. It is a sleepy hamlet that runs along the bay, with stunning views wherever you turn. We hope to return!

Peaceful Retreat

My husband and I spent 6 days at Sea Glass. The cottage is tucked away in a beautiful spot with amazing views from every vantage point. Tastefully decorated with colors that immediately quiet the mind and invite relaxation, the furniture is very comfortable and there is quite a bit of space to move around and find a quiet nook to read or reflect. The outdoor spaces are equally inviting and the beauty of the ocean and its wildlife make this a magical place. Pam and Kelly made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay. We didn’t want to leave and look forward to returning very soon.

Spectacular views!

Seaglass Cottage is very special- perfect for a romantic getaway. Gracious hosts have created a cozy setting and nature does the rest. Perfectly situated in East Boothbay away from the hustle of the harbor but easy to get to for shopping and eating. We enjoyed it all and hope to return.

Dreamy cottage on the bay

Fantastic stay at Seaglass Cottage! We loved the quaint nature of the cottage - perfect for our family of 4 (8 and 10 year old kids). Not great for young children, but perfect for our family - a cute loft bed and access to the water right out the door. We loved the screen porch! Perfect for active family or couple who like SUP and kayaking. So many great local hikes and botanical gardens were a huge hit! Boothbay is extremely charming. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Peaceful Paradise

Of all the trips we've made to Maine, our stay at SeaGlass Cottage is our favorite by far. The cottage is so clean, cozy, and comfortable. Kelly and Pam were so responsive and friendly. They made everything so easy. The location...wow. Such a stunning and serene setting. The most gorgeous sunsets we've ever seen were enjoyed sitting on the amazing dock. We loved the cottage and the setting so much that we opted to dine in every night. The kitchen provided everything we needed & Pinkham's Gourmet Market is the place to get fresh lobster, mussels, fish, steak, etc. We would book another stay at SeaGlass in a heartbeat.

Absolutely perfect in every way!

My husband and I spent the month of August in Seaglass Cottage and everything about our experience was perfection. The cottage sits on a beautiful scenic bay, with a small island just a short distance away. We enjoyed watching the bald eagles, seals and dolphins from our deck, paddleboards and kayaks. This might be the best view in all of Boothbay! We were welcomed with cold champagne in the fridge and, although there are many great restaurants nearby, found that dining on our porch at sunset was magnificent.

Beautiful Cottage!

Me and my girlfriend had an incredible (too short) stay at Sea Glass Cottage. It is really picturesque - just a lovely place to unwind. Kelly was great and was so attentive. We were the last guests of the season because it gets so cold this time of year but we had no problem with staying warm in the cabin. Kelly was so sweet and def checked in to make sure we were ok. I want to come back in the summer for sure! Def recommend a stay here!

Heaven on Earth!

From arrival to departure this was a vacation extraordinaire! Pam set the stage with excellent responsiveness to all of our questions. She “handed off” our care to Kelly (on site owner) as we started our trip to this phenomenal piece of the Maine coast. Kelly greeted us and took care of everything! She had seen to it that everything we needed was available upon our arrival. I couldn’t even think of something that we might need that wasn’t available. No detail was overlooked. If cleanliness, comfort, convenience and caring are what you look for in your travels then SeaGlass Cottage/Chill Vacations/VRBO is the place for you. The outdoor and indoor amenities were amazing and being just slightly removed from downtown Boothbay Harbor allowed us the seclusion and access which we loved! SeaGlass is on the edge of Linekin Bay - calm waters which we enjoyed boating in. We rented a boat from South West Recreation in Boothbay and Kelly provided us with safe docking all week for free! Suffice it to say that we would rank SeaGlass Cottage as #1 of over 100 vacation destinations we have traveled to. Come, chill, enjoy, recharge and wish that you never had to leave....we did!

Hidden Hideaway

This place was simply unbelievable. We had an absolute blast. The property was situated on a quiet little cove in one of the most beautiful bays in Maine. Absolutely delightful cottage on the ocean

Seaglass Cottage was a lovely place to stay. It is RIGHT on the ocean, with fantastic views of the water from every room. The cottage is as cute as one can be, like a little jewel box. The place was very clean, and really well stocked. We usually bring some kitchen tools, supplies & spices with us, because we love to cook. There was no need to bring anything extra! We were so pleased that the yard, dock and chairs were all for us, and it was very private. We got many hours of pleasure watching the wildlife at low tide and on Perch Island. Kayaking off the path was so easy at any tide level. And the dock is fantastic - really well built and maintained. We would recommend the cottage to anyone. Some reviewers noted that the bathroom was too small. Personally, I loved all the idiosyncrasies, and thought the scale was completely charming. We do not look for luxury when we vacation, but we do look for high quality and an experience that takes us away from our workaday lives. This cottage rental was perfect for that! Thanks to the owner for her warm welcome and attentiveness.

This is a beautiful cottage right on the water with an awesome dock for coffee, reading, cocktails and fun. The cottage is well equipped for everything. It can be a quiet get away, family fun or a great girls retreat. The towels and linens are first class. Bed we slept in was awesome. Wonderful week in Maine

From dawn to dusk, a great location to spend one’s vacation. We loved the cottage with its many windows and great views of the bay. Sunsets were a special treat. Quaint Cottage - Beautiful Views!

Pros: We very much enjoyed our week at SeaGlass Cottage. The cottage has beautiful views, gorgeous sunsets and is appointed with pretty much everything you need, and more than I expected. The kitchen is well equipped dish soap, paper towels, dish towels, plates, bowls, cups, drinking glasses, cutting knives, chip clips, pots and pans. Never once did I say I wish I had xxx when it came to preparing a meal. They welcomed us with a nice bottle of Prosecco and there was coffee and filters so that we could at least get a cup of coffee in us before we headed out for groceries. Other items of need were also thoughtfully considered (beach towels, bug spray, binoculars, books, games, area sightseeing info...). Nice seating inside and out, for the space. It is nicely decorated and every space is efficiently used. Cons: The size of the cottage was fine for the 2 of us. I'm used to larger living spaces, so more people would have been too much for me, unless they were a couple of small children. The bathroom is tiny. It was my least favorite part of this cottage. The other thing you need to keep in mind is that the cabin is not insulated. That was fine for the time of year we visited, but I can only imagine that on really hot or really cold days, it could be challenging to heat or cool. There is a heat/cool wall unit that had a thermostat upstairs. On cooler mornings we used the stand alone heaters downstairs to knock the off the chill, which worked well for the temps we encountered. Overall, we have fond memories of our visit to SeaGlass Cottage. If you want accessibility to water sports and beautiful views, this is the place!

Great location with a million dollar view. Very private, comfortable cottage

We felt at home and relaxed within 10 minute of our arrival. Bald eagles, osprey, ducks, gulls, kingfisher, heron, schools of fish and seals right in front of us. A beautiful deck and dock on the water to enjoy reading, swimming or fishing with cool breezes. Each day had a beautiful sunset that we enjoyed sometimes while cooking our local lobster and seafood. Great restaurants within easy commute and our walks at ocean point just down the road were amazing. Kelly and Pam were great hosts.
