Our condo's ground level proximity with free adjacent parking eliminates the need to haul luggage and groceries upstairs or any distance. You'll savor the expansive greenbelt that fronts your living space and lanai. Unobstructed ocean and beach views with waves breaking can be enjoyed just 20 feet off the lanai! Its southern exposure ensures plenty of sunshine and the lanai is perfect for outdoor dining!

The BBQ grills, pool and tennis courts are all closely available for your enjoyment. In the event the usual refreshing trade winds die down, you’ll sleep comfortably with our bedroom A/C unit. We’ve also added a lanai fan over the patio table along with some ambient rope lighting.

The condo renovation features granite kitchen and bathroom counters, travertine tile floors, cherry cabinetry, three upgraded fans, lighting, sinks, and fixtures, large flat screen TV in both living room and bedroom. Unique Living room TV wall mount makes it visible from kitchen and dining areas as well. Yamaha Soundbar with vocal Alexa control and a DVR for recording your favorite shows are provided for your living room entertainment. French doors into the master bedroom (California King Bed), step-in oversize shower and enlarged kitchen rank this unit among the elite!

We also provide our guests with deliciously scented local tropical shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and soaps along with starter supplies of paper towels, toilet paper , dish soap, laundry detergent.. Favorite Place on the Island

When visiting the island of Kauai we only stay in Poipu. This condo was well equipped and very clean. It's close to Poipu beach, walk a short distance to watch the turtles, and close to the Hyatt Resort. I would definitely stay at this condo again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this Poipu Sands condo. It was July, and although the unit has LG type air conditioners in the bedroom and main living area, they were not required during our stay. Open windows, ceiling fans were sufficient, and the sound of the ocean can be heard at night.

Close to gas bbq and pool, and walkable to Grand Hyatt. No hot tub, but decent pool. Parking very good. Kitchen well appointed although coffee grinder didn't work. No direct ocean view, but good access to smooth lawn, and steps to ocean view. Overall we loved it. Thank you!

This condo is top notch! The location can’t be beat , so close to the beach and walking trails and the pool is wonderful. Our host is an excellent communicator, all our questions were answered and Bruce is very accommodating to any request you might have. The condo was very clean and the bed super comfy. We enjoyed a kitchen that had all the dishes and utensils we required and loved the bbq that was close by. We loved this area of Poipu and will not hesitate to book with Bruce again next year!

A perfect place to stay in Poipu

Fantastic place to stay in Kauai. Bruce and Betty were great to communicate with and they have put a lot of time and consideration into making sure you enjoy your visit. The bed was comfortable, kitchen fully stocked, premium hair/body soaps, laundry detergent, and lotions provided along with beach towels, chairs, snorkel sets, cooler, umbrella and almost anything you might need for your stay in Poipu. Bruce and Betty have decorated their condo with quality furniture and beautiful artwork and have even put together a welcome binder with tons of information about their unit as well as recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. This condo was just a short 3 minute drive to Poipu Beach and area restaurants.

Hyatt conference stay

Stayed here while attending a conference at the Hyatt. Beautiful 5 min walk every morning to the conference location. Also, good central location for any sightseeing afterwards. It was a little warm the first day since A/C is just in the bedroom, but we quickly figured out which windows created a nice cross breeze through the condo so we were comfortable the rest of the time. Pool was amazing! Very clean and very quiet. Bruce was super nice to call and check on us to make sure everything was ok even though he himself was traveling.

Great one bedroom vacation

The location was wonderful, 25 minute drive from Lihue airport and about 10 minutes from a few good grocery stores and restaurants. We also were able to walk to a few beaches that were good for surfing, swimming, or snorkeling. There was also a great hike right outside. The owners had a binder with very helpful information for hiking places, medical services, grocery stores, restaurants, and many other things. We referenced that binder everyday. They also had beach chairs and snorkel gear which was very convenient. A cool breeze came right through the condo when the windows were open which kept us cool at night. Thank you for allowing us to rent your condo!

We now live in Lake Oswego, Oregon and have fulfilled our dream of owning a piece of Hawaii by purchasing this Poipu Sands unit. We have visited the various islands of Hawaii many times since our honeymoon now 46 years ago. We always seem to gravitate back to the 'garden Island' of Kauai and specifically sunny Poipu Beach. Within the small community of Poipu, we fell in love with the tranquility, proximity, and amenities of the Poipu Sands development. Combined with fresh papaya and Kona coffee, we look forward to many more mornings watching the tropical sunrise from our lanai or down at the adjacent Grand Hyatt. We hope to share our good fortune with you, as you relax and drift away to the sounds and smells of paradise. Aloha!

Why they chose this property

After many visits to the Hawaiian islands, we found ourselves drawn back to the lush, tropical 'Garden Island' of Kauai. With it's rivers and waterfalls, breathtaking Napali coastline, pristine beaches, and undeveloped tropical greenery, Kauai defines paradise. The south side of the islands beckons the most days of sunshine which characterizes why we chose 'sunny Poipu'. Finally, the Poipu Sands Resort offers a peaceful, private, tranquility not found at many of the other larger developments. It's proximity to a beautiful beach, a short stroll past the Grand Hyatt to the bluffs beyond Shipwreck Beach, your private tennis court and heated pool, BBQ's to grill up some fresh fish, chicken, or steak, enormous greenbelt for sun and safe play.....the list goes on as to why we knew after many visits that Poipu Sands had it all!!

What makes this property unique

Just a short stroll down our frontage path will lead you to the Hyatt and the Mahaulepu Coastal Trail, which begins just beyond the beach. This trail is a special part of the Kauai History Heritage site and the last stretch of accessible coastline on the South Shore that has not been developed. This gorgeous coastal hike takes you across a variety of easy to moderate terrain with incredible ocean vistas, tidepools, sacred lava burial grounds, and even a sinkhole cave. The area provides a safe haven for marine life, such as sea turtles and the endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal. The trail leads to beautiful Mahaulepu Beach, a great place to spot whales in the winter or observe (from a distance) a monk seal napping on the beach.
Next door to the Sands, you can wander around the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa`s lush tropical gardens or indulge in a reviving treatment at the world-class Anara Spa. This lovely setting lets you easily explore the natural wonders of our Garden Isle of Kauai, as well as dine at several delightful restaurants or enjoy their galleries and shops.
