CABIN 14: Fall in Northern Michigan
Welcome to Cabin 14!
Nestled in Lakes of the North, Cabin 14 is the perfect home base for your Northern Michigan adventure. Enjoy direct access to hundreds of miles of ORV and snowmobile trails, as well as proximity to world-class golf courses and ski resorts. The surrounding area also features wineries, breweries, and fantastic local dining options.
On-site, you’ll find two scenic lakes—Pencil and Harold—offering sandy beaches and seasonal rental activities. The community also includes a golf course with an on-site restaurant and an indoor waterpark (available for an additional fee).
The Space
This unique cabin features open beam ceilings throughout and comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests (1 king, 1 queen, and 3 twin beds). Each room is equipped with its own AC/heat unit for personalized comfort.
Families traveling with young children will appreciate the Pack ’n Play and strategically placed baby gates both inside and on the back deck—for the safety of little ones and dogs alike.
Step outside to enjoy a large deck, firepit, and a gas grill under a covered area—perfect for grilling in any season.
Dogs are welcome (with a non refundable fee), and we’ve provided dog bowls as well as cables and outdoor tie-outs for their safety.
Why “Cabin 14”?
You might be wondering about the name. Well, it holds a special meaning for us. My husband and I were both college athletes—he played baseball and I played hockey. When we first met and swapped stories about our athletic days, we discovered a fun coincidence: we had both worn the same jersey number—14.
Since then, the number 14 has held a special place in our lives, so when it came time to name our getaway, "Cabin 14" was the perfect choice. It’s more than just a number—it’s a nod to our shared history and a reminder of the things we love.
Guest Access: Community Amenities (fee required)
Clubhouse: Indoor pool with waterslide, lazy river, hot tub, and game room (less than 2 miles away).
Pencil & Harold Lakes: Seasonal rentals available including canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, paddleboats, and rowboats (just over 2 miles from the cabin).
Golf Course & Restaurant: A short drive from the cabin (just over 2 miles).

About the host
Hosted by Marlowe Clements
We are a young family of 7, one baby boy and four fur children. Grand Rapids, MI is home for us. Originally, I grew up in Marquette, MI and my husband, Adam, in Ann Arbor, MI. We both love being outdoors, especially sharing Northern Michigan with our son Jet. There is something special about fresh air. Whether it is taking a hike, exploring in our SxS, or out snowmobiling you will find us anywhere but in front of a TV. If we are not at our cabin, you will catch us at Silver Lake Sand Dunes in our SXS, camping at Hoffmaster State Park, or downtown Grand Rapids enjoying the great food/drink.

Adam, Marlowe and Jet
