BoBB is beautiful!

The neighborhood was lovely and quiet. The home was cozy, clean, and stocked with some bathroom toiletries in case you forgot yours and snacks for hikes! The host was easy to reach and check in and out both went very smoothly. Would definitely recommend!

My friend and I came down to Hot Springs for a training. We loved our stay at The Blue Bungalow! Everything was clean, safe, comfortable and well thought out! Gail thought of everything we could have needed and more! From ground coffee (which I forgot) to water bottles by the bedsides, they thought of everything!

Quirky but comfy

Cottage was very clean, easy to use door and thermostat. Everything worked fine even if the cottage was older than expected with the old smell and quirks of a much older home. I’m not sure I agree with previous posts about it being a safe area. It’s definitely in an old and fairly run down neighborhood. Our first night there at night a random guy came up and was making very odd conversation in the backyard, turns out that he was behind a low chain link fence that we didn’t see at the time. Kind of spooked us, but no harm I suppose. To get in the shower is a tad difficult for anyone vertically challenged. The towels however are fantastic and the black out curtains were much appreciated. Overall the house is cute and was comfortable with our stay…. However, communicating with the host was very difficult. There was a lot of back and forth with us booking another night to stay in the area longer. Communication was vague at best and would go a day easily imbetween communication. I understand the host was traveling out of the country but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect a response with clear information in a 4 hour window or so. If you’re unavailable to those renting your property, than perhaps a cohost could help with communicating to your guests. This made the trip a bit more stressful than it really needed to be. We have stayed at several short term rentals and while we know and appreciate that every place we rent has it’s quirks, lack of communication is a deal breaker for us. Loved the area but will not be returning to this house.

Thank you for spending your recent getaway with us and for sharing your review Amy. It was our pleasure to host you and we are delighted to hear you enjoyed our (in your words) quirky home. To address the issue of the neighborhood as ALL of our other guests have mentioned it is a quiet safe neighborhood, the backyard has a gated 6-foot privacy fence on two sides and the portion with the chain link is shared with a church (can't get much safer than that) and the other section is shared with our neighbor's house. The house is located in the Tri-Vista neighborhood of town which is one of the most sought-after and prestigious neighborhoods in town, with an active neighborhood watch and community involvement. As for the shower being an issue for someone "vertically challenged", I'm assuming you mean because the shower is within the bathtub? That is clearly spelled out (along with photos) in the listing. We have hosted 100s of guests on multiple platforms and NEVER had a complaint and actually only compliments on how much they enjoy the tub and shower. I sincerely apologize for any shortcomings in communication, which is absolutely not the norm, and is why I let you know ahead of time that I'd be out of the country for work and not readily available - I did provide the number of our housekeeper/property manager though, in case you wanted to reach out that way. But I've looked back through our text messages and the longest it took me to respond was 4 minutes - I was more than accommodating in altering your reservation over a busy 3-day weekend that I could have given to another guest. The only communication you reached out to me about was changing your booking which was accommodated, but your feedback is important to us, as we are always striving to improve our guest experience.
