This property was maintained and had easy access to Liberty's campus. It had ample room and was comfortable. The beds were comfy. It was decorated very cute with a bee and sunflower theme. The kitchen had everything we needed, but the mini stove was touchy and we had to turn it to 400 degrees first for it to turn on to be used. The house is almost 100 years old, charming but not updated but comfortable. We gave it an okay review because the bathroom had an ant problem. Just a few ants were on the floor and sink at first, but there were hundreds the next morning. We sprayed them and communicated with the owners and we're told the problem would be handled after we checked out which didn't help us any. There continued to be 5-10 ants everyone we entered the bathroom. There were never ants anywhere else. A point of cautious information: the street is very narrow and every evening we saw deer near the house 1-6 at a time and skunk smell one morning. We might use this vrbo again because of location, but otherwise it was comfortable enough.
Beautifully decorated! it was cold, heating system worked good! Good beds! Furnishing coffee , teas and hot chocolate a plus! This house is very old , owner has done well to make it so inviting! The only drawback is the front porch is somewhat of a hazard and there was loud shouting outside late on Friday night we were there which made us feel uncomfortable!
We had a very nice stay here. If you are thinking about booking, just do it! It was one of the cutest places that I have stayed in. It is very obvious that the host put in a lot of thought into making the stay memorable. Also, a very dog friendly place.
Beautifully decorated and well stocked. Lovely little home on a quiet street. Close to Liberty University where we needed to go to. Food Lion just down the road. Wonderful experience and we would stay here again.
This home was roomier than it appeared in the listing. It was clean and comfortable. The host made an effort to think of many things that would enhance a visit. Yes. It is an older home, and it has a great personality. Our dogs were very comfortable, too.
We met halfway to celebrate my daughter’s 24th birthday! This was the best vacation I have had, ever!!! The home was so peaceful and lovely with the soft colors and encouraging bee decor!! Very well done
From check-in to check-out, we had a great time and even extended our stay! I highly recommended this property!!!! Cordelia and Holly extend their thanks, as they were right at home with the doggy details!!
The house had charming attributes (historic), which we love, however, the plaster/foundation is in need of repair. Cracks along the walls are very visible and one side of the front room "leans". The kitchen was cozy and clean, and the amenities such as coffee, tea, sugar, honey...were very much appreciated. The bedrooms were also very comfortable. Similar to another review, spiderwebs were found on both the front porch and back window- in addition to paw prints on the front door. The outside spaces were not very inviting.
The host was very responsive to a request, which made our stay much more enjoyable.

Ancient Rundown and a Foul Smelling
As soon as you step on the front porch you are greeted with cobwebs and paint peeling off the shutters. The inside was better but there was garbage in the kitchen garbage can from someone who stayed there prior to us. The main issues I had with the place is the foul odor you smell as soon as you step inside. It smells like a musty old basement. The AC unit is very noisy and the air actually irritated my throat. Also the pillowcases smelled so strongly of bleach or detergent that you couldn't use them. We left after a hour or two and got a hotel room.

Location was good for getting around town. Beds were great and owner was very good at thinking of all the things we needed and special little addtions like a cloths line in laundry. With all the rain they really need to clean up the mud an dirt in front lawn on roadside.
It was the perfect stay for a nice weekend visiting my kids at college. Would definitely stay again

It was ok
The house is nice and quaint and offers comfortable accommodations. The house itself needs some TLC. Many ants and bugs had to be taken care of. I don’t know about other weekends, but there was a huge disturbance in the neighborhood overnight involving law enforcement and we felt very uncomfortable.
