Of course we have a washing machine on the property. All the guest had to do was ask where it is. I have no idea what “not kid friendly” means. Kids love it here. Guest left within an hour, no explanation, no questions, no complaints; didn't even say he was leaving or why.

A peaceful cozy oasis in the woods with all the amenities available

So happy to have found this wonderful property while visiting family near by. Glenn was very attentive and had the wood stove going upon our arrival along with some baked goods to enjoy! Very clean,comfortable and a great location!

Eastern CT perfection!

This place was a perfect little getaway! The woods and the river running right next to the deck were lovely and the sounds at night can't be beat! Glen was a great host: available but not intrusive. Would definitely stay here again.

Sweet spot

I loved the cabin by the river. The Host was very prompt and communicated well. We enjoyed listening to the river and loved our canoe ride on the lake. It was very relaxing place in the woods.

We loved the property. It was very peaceful and the fishing was great. Glenn was always available for any questions we had. We would like to stay there again the next time we are in Connecticut.

Peaceful cabin in a beautiful setting

Lovely retreat cabin in a woodsy and very pretty setting. Bed is very comfortable. Glenn is very nice and responsive if you have any questions about anything. Very good cell service and wifi. Recommended.

Stellar Rustic Retreat

The sound of the river was relaxing and inspiring! The property was as described. Clean, comfortable and private. Host Glen was extremely accommodating. We truly enjoyed the space, and look forward to going back in the fall.

Peaceful Getaway

The cottage on Little River was all we could have asked for--comfortable, roomy, beautifully decorated and full of delightful surprises to entertain us. There are puzzles and games and a wonderfully eclectic set of books(some written by Glenn, the host!) and of course the river and woods. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and look forward to returning.

Slice of Heaven on Earth

Looking for a quiet, relaxing and very peaceful place to stay….look no further. This little gem in the woods was a perfect holiday getaway for my daughter and me. Glenn was a fantastic host. Nice getaway with the family

Glenn was very friendly and helpful. The property gave us the opportunity to be away from everything while still being able to drive and get anything we needed. We loved having the creek right outside, but unfortunately there was record flooding going on. Be sure to check for ticks if you are going for a walk in the woods!

Very Nice Pretty Quiet

Glenn was a very nice host, Cottage was clean and nice. Lots of steps, please be aware sleeping and bathroom are on on the second level. It fit our need perfectly. Probably wont use vrbo again But would stay here. No problem with mosquitoes.

Lovely, peaceful property

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is warm and welcoming, sitting right beside a small stream. It was too chilly to have the windows open at night, but falling asleep to the sound of running water would be lovely on summer nights. The cabin is fully set up for your stay; the hosts even provided spices, coffee, and popcorn in the kitchen. It's rustic livingroom, delightfully complete with woodstove for cold weather, is comfortable and inviting. Glenn is a great host, and quickly responded to our reservation request and other texts. He was also happy to answer questions about the area and thing to do nearby. I highly recommend a stay at this property. I promise you will not be disappointed!

The cabin is in a quiet forest next to a stream and it was very relaxing to spend a week in such beautiful environment. The forest had much to discover. We enjoyed walking on the well-maintained trails with our dogs, and we also enjoyed excursions to nearby parks and forests. Our host was very friendly and accomodating. He made sure our stay was comfortable and we had everything we needed. We would love to go back and spend another relaxing week!

Glenn is a gem and worked very hard to be sure all we needed was made available to us.The sound of the stream is a relaxing joy and the birdsong was a lovely thing to hear first thing in the morning.There are quite a few stairs but they are manageable. The stairs will be a great stair-master exercise machine, the use of which will allow you to work off the delicious meals you can make in his fully equipped kitchen. We were there for 4 days as Grandparents with 2 teenaged children, who are hard to please but had a ball!Thank you Glenn. See you next year we hope!

Absolutely gorgeous home and property. Host was very kind, helpful, and friendly. There’s paintings and artwork made by the host throughout the home. We were even able to buy one! Home was very clean and cozy. The surrounding woods were serene and fun to walk through. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Wonderful host and gorgeous property. Worth every penny!
