Your host
My wife, Lisa and I are native New Mexicans from Albuquerque. We grew up in the area of our guest home and know intimate details on the neighborhood, city and state. I am an architect, I designed and built the guest house.
Why they chose this property
Albuquerque's North Valley is a unique island - a rural, agricultural setting in the center of the city. It is linked with many walking and bicycle trails but also has quick access to I-25 & I-40 freeways. The area is rich in culture, great restaurants, all nearby the historic Old Town & not far from the Hot-air Ballon Fiesta Park.
What makes this property unique
Our guest house is located among 4 acres of open land and a some single family residences. It is a fully solar powered home, but remains connected to the electric grid for continual electricity. It is a home made with a large rammed earth accent wall and foam panel walls and ceilings for a quiet experience.
