Vacation Gone Wrong
The Family Ties property could have been an awsome property rental and a lovely vacation getaway. However, upon arrival as my family began to settle-in, we noticed the a/c was not working on the 1st floor, and the freezer was not getting cold. From then on we continued to encounter unbelievable problems.Simple things we over looked like a whole cabinet door missing in the kitchen, knobs falling off the stove, no extra bath tissue, towels, or wash cloths for a family of 17 for a weekend rental. And other basic things like no supply of extra kitchen trash bags, and a ragged trash can by the way, or the non-working ice machine on the counter top. They both need to be thrown away. Annoying as it was we made it work and made a Wal-Mart run to get these things and bags of ice for a cooler, etc. However, who wants to do all that while supposedly relaxing for a couple days. For the money spent over 1500 a night for a property we had high expectations for totally missed the mark. Nothing top the cake more than realizing the freezer would not work. All of our food in the freezer and bags of ice was freaking melting!!! It was hot all day and even at night on the entire first floor where our elders were lodging. Dinner plans to grill onsite was a disaster. The cleanliness of the grill was beyond filthy with caked up grease on the propane tank and an over full grease trap which is hazardous. My husband arm was burned when we had to immediately turnthe propane tank and an over full
