You will receive a link to an online guest book when it gets close to your arrival date. You will receive the link by email and text. The home has an electronic lock at the bottom level where the cars are parked. A code will be generated into your guest book just before your arrival day.
The Neighborhood:
Hoone Rd, fronting Poipu Beach Park and Brenneckes Beach, turns into Pee Rd. This winding street is a popular place to watch the sunset on the wall fronting Nihi Kai or to walk one way and return to the Poipu Kai Greenbelt.
Getting Around:
When visiting Kauai, we highly recommend renting a car to enhance your experience and give you the freedom to explore the island at your own pace. While there are other transportation options available, such as the Kauai Bus, it's important to note that the bus service may not run as frequently as you might expect.
Having a rental car allows you to easily access all the incredible sights and attractions that Kauai has to offer. From the stunning Na Pali Coast to the breathtaking Waimea Canyon, having your own transportation gives you the flexibility to visit these iconic locations on your own schedule.

PESTS:
Kauai is in a climate that is considered to be both tropical and within a rainforest category, known for its lush flora and fauna. The environmental factors create a situation where pests (insects) are nearly impossible to eradicate from every property constantly. Many bugs fly in when a door is open at night or are simply small enough to come in through screens on windows and sliding doors. For this reason, Koloa Kai engages regular quarterly pest control in every property to keep the pests at bay. Despite these efforts, it is possible to have pests in your property, and if that happens, Koloa Kai will take all measures possible as quickly as possible to mitigate any issues. Any monetary compensation, refunds or discounts will be given solely at the discretion of Koloa Kai and will only be available in situations where the company agrees that an infestation has occurred. Koloa Kai reserves the right to investigate and provide remediation of any pest issue. The mere presence of pests in the property shall not constitute grounds for monetary compensation.
30-DAY MAXIMUM RENTALS:
Koloa Kai LLC provides only short-term rentals with a maximum reservation of 30 days. Each reservation is fully documented and provides for a fixed date and time for check-in and check-out, rental rates, associated fees, and all other requirements required by local and state law. If a guest books consecutive reservations where the check-out and check-in dates are concurrent, then a cleaning fee will be assessed, and a Koloa Kai designated cleaning professional/inspector will have unrestricted access to the property for the purposes of cleaning and inspection of the property. During the time between reservations, described by the check-out time and check-in time specifically, the guests shall vacate the property so that the designated cleaning professional/inspector can conduct a full reservation clean and inspection in accordance with Koloa Kai’s standard practice. Guest access to the property shall be restricted specifically to the date/times of the reservation documentation and may not be extended upon verbal or text message confirmation.

Air conditioning was great. Hot water was great. Beds were comfy. Furniture was comfy inside and out. Very well stocked kitchen and throughout. Exactly as pictured. Great lication!!! Only down side was needs better linens. We added some from target. Definitely would rent again.
The property was clean and big enough to accommodate my family of 6 adults. We truly had all we needed and would stay here again! Mahalo for a wonderful vacation!

Loved our stay. Beautiful house in a great location. Well stocked kitchen was appreciated. Boogie boards great surprise for teens. House was as advertised and then some. Adults appreciated beach chairs and towels. Overall great vacation. Thank you. And the view, just wow!!!!
I can’t even begin to explain how beautiful this home is. The view of the beach was incredible and we absolutely loved the outdoor patio. We also loved that each room had its own A/C. Game changer as my dad loves to sleep much warmer than my husband and I. We didn’t use the clubhouse or pool, just since we didn’t have time with other activities. Two dishwashers in the beautiful large kitchen was great. The location and proximity to restaurants, shops, the beach, etc. was awesome. Just awesome overall!
This was the best home I think we have ever rented. So nice and the amenities here were top notch. Location was great, I actually do not think the pictures do it justice. So much better!!! Highly recommend for any family.
This property is very spacious and was perfect for 3 couples. Beautiful views from the wraparound lanai, and an easy walk to the beach. The host sent several communications about events and restaurant recommendations which re greatly appreciated. We can't wait to book another stay!
The home is spacious and fully equipped from the kitchen to the beach chairs, towels and boogie boards. Can walk to Poipu but with beach equipment it's a 2 minute drive. Just a perfect family home.
This place was outstanding! We all agreed that the pictures do not do it Justice. Sits up on a hill with big glass doors and windows for beautiful views whether you’re inside or outside on the lanai. Plenty of space for all. Beaches were within walking distance. I would defiantly recommend.

The pictures don’t do this home justice! It’s luxurious with beautiful views. The large spaces were great for our group. I especially loved being able to have everyone sit together at the table while we ate and played games. We were able to walk to both Poipu and Shipwreck beaches. The only drawback was that I didn’t realize that the pool was at a clubhouse that wasn't near the property. It’s a very short drive, though.
The home was very spacious, private with a big yard for the kids. The support team was very helpful. Loved the View of the ocean from master to family room. Beach accessories such as boogie boards, portable beach chairs, large umbrella, towels and even ice chest made the ocean beach scene a great experience. Would love to come back.
This property exceeded our expectations - more than enough room for 5 adults and a 2 year old. The views were absolutely stunning, and the home itself was immaculate. The furniture was beautiful, along with the artwork. Management was very helpful, and provided us a new propane tank upon request. Our little one enjoyed playing with the provided beach toys.
Please note that there are wooden stairs leading up from the parking area to the home - we were surprised as this was not mentioned/pictured in the listing. It would be helpful if the owners provided a baby gate for this.

The photos in the description do NOT do this property justice. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by its warmth, Hawaiian charm, and cleanliness. The house is spectacular with an amazing view of the ocean giving the amazing ability to see the sunrise in the morning from the lanai. The house was very clean, and having ability to wash clothes was a HUGE plus. We did request to have the TV fixed in the master and the maintenance didn't come out to do that, but we just used the main TV when needed. A highlight of the house was getting the opportunity to meet the landscaper. After a long workday of his, he came back and taught us about coconuts and we shared stories of our day which was a true embodiment of the spirit of 'Ohana'. Our family had the best time ever on this vacation and we would love to go back there on another trip.
My husband and I planned an intimate elopement in Kauai for Labor Day weekend and wanted a home to that could comfortably accommodate us and 6 of our family members. This property met our expectations and so much more. The location was perfect for us since we planned to have our ceremony at Shipwrecks beach which was a quick 5 minute drive or 12-15 minute walk. The open concept of the house and spacing of the bedroom allowed for all 8 of us to be together without feeling cramped. The rooms and bathroom designs were very modern and the master bedroom provided a nice backdrop for my pre-ceremony photos. The view from the house with its large windows and top to bottom clear sliding doors was beautiful from sunrise to sundown. The lanai was perfect to relax on and take in the beauty around us. The check-in and out process was incredibly simple and the owners had great communication through the whole stay. The kitchen is large and stocked with enough cookware to cook meals for the whole family. The only issue we had is that the oven was smaller than we anticipated and did not get as hot as the temperature it was set to. We just had to turn it up higher and cook some things a little longer.
Overall, it was a great stay, my family had an amazing time, and the house provided many lasting memories.
