House was small but perfect for what we needed. The host was easy to communicate with and responded to our needs (even with a jump for our car!) Bed was a bit soft but other then that was a great jumping off place as an over flow for our family reunion.
What an amazing property! Just 30 minutes from Bristol Speedway and a quiet countryside respite from the crowds. The cottage was clean, cozy and perfect for our trip. Cell service was a challenge, but the WiFi was a perfect solution! I look forward to the next visit!
We had a wonderful getaway at the cottage. Skylar was great at communicating with us. We took advantage of the fire pit and grill. The bed was super comfortable and the place was clean. We enjoyed sitting on the porch. This is a great place to stay, especially if you love hiking, boating and kayaking. Beautiful scenery! We will be back!!
The stay was great besides some very small inconveniences i would recommend the owner get some blackout curtains the cars driving by at night tended to flash the bedroom and its hard to call the owner with no cellular service because the rural area
We were in town for a wedding, this little house was perfect. It was cozy, the bed was comfortable, had a window unit air conditioner, which kept the entire house cool. The owner was quick to reply to questions
Perfect little house for what I needed. Bed is super comfortable. Owner was very quick to respond. Cell phone service is non existant and the wifi was down due to the flooding but it was kind of nice without distractions to just relax. Complimentary wat
We ate local to the area and were just needing a place to stay for one night a week after hurricane Helene went through north eastern Tennessee.
When we went to turn onto the road to get to the property the road was closed and we were unable to stay. That being said, the owner was wonderful, and had excellent communication and transparency. If we were ever needing to stay in butler again, we’d book with them in a heartbeat!
The house was in terrific shape, evrything we needed was there and we had an awesome stay, the host was very good about responding quickly and even provided wifi, my brother and I are already planning a longer stay for next year.
The home is far enough away from neighbors that i didn't worry about music beimg too loud and the firpit was perfect. I highly reccomend this location.
We needed somewhere to stay for the Nascar weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. What an awesome little place to stay! We only wish we would have booked more nights to enjoy the area more. It would be a great place for a couple to get away and enjoy Tennessee. The bed was comfortable, and it was easy, right off the road, convenient. 30 miles from Bristol was easy with the beautiful drive and scenery in the trees and a lake front. A great value above and beyond what Bristol hotels were charging for a room in the area, with better privacy.
I absolutely loved staying here, I came to visit a friend, and it was perfect. It is so cute and just the right size for me. The boating ramp is tight around the corner if that is something you are looking for or even a small little get away. Skylar the host was so amazing! He communicated great and was so accommodating. I had some trouble with the wifi and he personally came down to help get it back and running. The cbin has some bedroom with the most comfortable bed ever and has a pullout couch bed. I had two friends come over for game night and we all fit pretty comfortable. There is a grill and fire place. You can buy wood from Skylar for $7, which was so amazing! I had an amazing time, and would definitely stay again!
Little Green Cottage was great for a long weekend at the lake. We spent most of our time at the lake but the cottage was fantastic to come back to. Kitchen was great, full size fridge was nice to have for all of our food and drinks.
There is ZERO places to hang anything, even your bath towel. Since we were at the lake this was a problem for us. Plenty of bath towels provided.
The cottage was broom sweep clean. The whole place could benefit from a vacuum clean every once and awhile. We brought and used a sound machine to help with the road noise. The windows could all use black out curtains- only a few had them. A/c was very cold and worked great. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.
Overall, we loved this place and would stay there again. The reason we docked it 1 star is that the wireless internet was horrible which wouldn't have been a big deal but there is zero cell service. The owners must live nearby because there is a wireless puck on the outside of the cottage that feeds off another wireless signal. We had a lot of buffering issues trying to watch the TN football game and some other shows so that was quite frustrating. Even rebooting the connection multiple times did not fix the issue. That being said, the drive to the cottage is beautiful, the view from the back patio is stunning, and the cottage itself has been nicely remodeled/updated. We had almost everything we needed for a perfect weekend away.
Love the place but there could be improvements1) More privacy need something above the window unit, front door.2) better selection of pots and pans.3) better shower head Would I rent this again yes
Was a good experience. I wanted something that felt less tourist like and this did the trick. I was able to find plenty of good spots nearby to explore.
