But that's not all - this cabin also comes with a new hot tub, which is perfect for soaking tired muscles after a day of adventure. And with incredible views of Pike's Peak, you'll feel like you're on top of the world.
Whether you're looking for a romantic weekend retreat or a fun family vacation, this mountain cabin getaway has something for everyone. So pack your bags, bring your UTV/ATV, grab your hiking boots, and get ready for an unforgettable experience in the Colorado Rockies.
**PLEASE NOTE** The road in is on national forest and bumpy (out of our control to maintain) we do not recommend driving a sports car or sedan to a mountain cabin getaway, especially since we are at the end of the road. We can not guarantee "mother nature" with rain and/or snow and how the roads will be. Four-wheel drive, Subaru's, SUV's are fine! We do have the road plowed and the main roads will be plowed as needed by the county.

About the host
Hosted by Tara
We both have always enjoyed the outdoors. With one of us working in law enforcement and other as a civil engineer for over 30 years, we enjoy the Woodland Park getaway and time with our pups! Our lovely Mountain Ridge Cabin sits at about 9100' and is nestled on 31 acres among pines and aspens. It has a secluded feel while just 15 minutes from town. It's a wonderful mountain destination surrounded by spectacular scenery, wildlife, an area rich in history, and fun-filled activities for everyone. When we found the cabin in its previous condition, we knew it needed a little love to live its full glory. Sitting at 9100' and bordering Pikes National Forest, we're just a 15-minute drive into the center of town. Our goal was to create a space that you could either choose to escape the hustle and bustle of life and relax taking in the scenery around the property or have the perfect place to rest after a day of hiking, fishing, or enjoying one of the many off-road trails. Come stay at our little Mountain Ridge Cabin and enjoy a beautiful getaway! In the winter months you will need four-wheel drive to get to our cabin. Whether it's a romantic getaway or friends getting together, you'll find the comforts of this little getaway in the woods. The cabin sits at 9100' elevation with outstanding views of Pikes Peak!**NOTE: We did VRBO in Gunnison until our place sold. If you see the reviews or Superhost, that was previous to buying this cabin! Come and enjoy :) We are listed with Airbnb and have several reviews to see there! We love hosting and have been lucky enough to have had the best guests!
Why they chose this property
This is the perfect getaway from noise, people, and just simple relaxing! Our cabin is clean and has character for comfort. New hot tub with lounger sits on the large deck. You can enjoy the amazing views and wildlife! The views alone will make you not want to leave, along with all the outdoor activities to do. Great restaurants in Woodland Park and shops to explore, just a short 15 minute drive. Bring the toys and explore with 1000's of acres bordering Pikes National Forest. You'll find that the classic A frame style cabin built into the incline of the property. As you enter the front door, you access the kitchen, dining area, main floor bathroom, a cozy sitting area with two recliners and amazing views. A spiral staircase leads you up to the lofted bedroom, where you’ll find the comforts of a new queen Tempur-Pedic bed. The bathroom is on the main level, with a nice remodeled walk-in shower. You’ll find a weber gas grill on the back deck and a washer and dryer in the laundry room. Fully equipped kitchen and all new appliances!
With all the wonderful things about our cabin and the location, it is a cabin in the mountains! Please understand the roads can be bumpy and a sedan or sports car is not recommended. Right before arriving at the cabin, there is about 200' of bumpy roads and if we have a rain storms, it might be a little rough but nothing bad if you go slow. Again, we just don't recommend driving a sports car or sedan. Thanks
