Bigfoot Trail Cabin is located southwest of Florissant,just 32 miles west of Colorado Springs. 3 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY MAY 15---OCT 31 (PEAK SEASON/SUMMER). It is not rented out November 1st through May 14th.

Elevation: 8345 feet.

Cabin Size: 550 square feet on one level.

Beds and Sleeping: one queen size bed with pillow-top mattress, cotton sheets, one full-size futon, one single futon; sleeps five maximum.

Bathroom: one full with tub and shower.

Electric: standard electric power.

Heat: electric heat/wood-burning stove.

Water: cistern.

Special Features: Long private circular driveway off cul-de-sac, beautiful wooded lot with over one acre of tall pine trees. The cabin has hardwood floors, log furniture, wood-burning stove, WIFI Internet, DVD Player, 42 inch HD flat screen television with satellite , fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, flat top stove, microwave, propane barbeque grill, hot tub with colored lights and waterfall, hammock in the trees, hanging double swing, and table with chairs on large front porch. Deer, hummingbirds and other wildlife abound in this natural,quiet setting. Pet friendly with dog run. Friendly dogs are allowed at no extra charge. You can walk down past Wilson Lake, but using it is not allowed.

I am originally from Southern Minnesota, but have lived in Colorado Springs almost 50 years. I love it here. The weather is better than almost anywhere. You almost never have a whole day without sunshine.

Why they chose this property

I like the Wilson Lakes subdivision because it is situated between Florissant and Lake George. It is not far from Eleven Mile Reservoir and the Platte river for fishing. Also, my cabin is on a nice, pretty flat lot that can be hard to find in the mountains.

What makes this property unique

My cabin has a long, circular driveway in a cul-de-sac, which makes it very private. It is full of pines trees with birds, squirrels, mule deer, elk, and sometimes a bear every few years. I have never seen one there yet in 24 years.
