Just 2 blocks from the beach in the quiet and peaceful neighborhood of Pirates Beach. Enjoy the beautiful views of the Gulf from the Master Bedroom deck and Gulf breezes from the screened-in patio. This newer home is a 2-minute walk to the beach and a short drive to all that Galveston has to offer.
Our beach house has 3 outdoor spaces, a large yard, stellar kitchen, and everything your family needs at your home-away-from-home. Cook dinner in the well-equipped kitchen or follow the tips in the Best of Times Beach House guide book and try the locals' favorite restaurants.
Galveston's laid-back island vibe will ensure your family will relax and make memories. Enjoy Schitterbahn and Moody Gardens, both just minutes away. Learn about Galveston's history through the many museums, or shop the eclectic boutiques on the Strand.
The house has everything you need to relax, including an outdoor shower, patio furniture on both decks , a well-stocked kitchen with brand new, top-of-the-line appliances, and TVs.
The well-organized and equipped home is one of the youngest and tallest in Pirates Beach. Our sister property, Best of Times Beach House (VRBO #475376), is right across the street if you want to stay with a larger group.
When you are ready for the beach, it’s a short walk away! Beach toys, and life jackets are provided for fun in the sun.
Our family home is kid-friendly and pet-friendly, but it is non-smoking. (Pets require an extra $100 cleaning fee charged after booking)

Great Thanksgiving

The house was perfect! We all had pleanty of space, even the furry family members, and there were 8 of us. The kitchen was wonderful, it had everything we needed to make a full Thanksgiving dinner for the whole group. Great location, only two blocks to the beach. We had a great stay!

Perfect beach getaway!

We loved this house and it’s proximity to the beach! The home is well stocked with things like laundry detergent and kitchen appliances to lots of extra blankets and towels. Our family of 6 was comfortable and we highly recommended! We loved our fun in the sun!

We had a wonderful 4 day stay with family in this charming house. House was clean and very well stocked. Christina was very kind at the last Minute to allow my daughter’s older dog toAccompany us. Beach Weekend in Pirate’s Beach, Arggg!

Great house and amazing decor. The house has two bedrooms on the first floor and the master bedroom upstairs with an on-suite bath. There is a bonus room on the third floor with two twin beds and a great view of the water. The house has decks on every level with chairs to watch the sun rise. Our favorite spot was the screened in dinner table on the back porch. Thanks again for an amazing weekend.

Great House with a Beautiful Kitchen

The house was exactly as described. The beds were very comfortable. The upper deck had a great view and it was very relaxing up there. The beach was close enough to walk to, but driving was still an option as well. There are two bedrooms upstairs, the master and the twin bed room, and the only way to access the upstairs bedroom is through the master. One of our groups was only coming down the last two nights so it worked out. But it was a bit of a dance to share the bathroom upstairs when both rooms were occupied.

Great Weekend at Best of Tides

My family and I stayed at the property May19-21. Property was clean upon arrival and check-in/access was straight forward. Bedroom layout is nice and kitchen is very large for the size of the house. Beach is a very short walk away and the owners provided some beach toys, a wagon, chairs, etc for use though we didn't use them as we had our own. For our needs, the house was well equipped in terms of appliances and kitchenware and we had no issue preparing meals in the kitchen. I will say that for our family (4 people) the living room was adequate size, however if you pushed to the max occupancy (7 people) it would be very tight. There is also limited indoor dining space options if you all wanted to sit together, but the table in the screened in porch is sufficiently sized for a somewhat larger group. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would stay again in the future.

I am a BOI (born on island) and grew up in Galveston, just a few miles from Pirates Beach. After moving to Houston and marrying a Midwesterner (and having four kids!), we have rediscovered how enchanting Galveston is. Through years of family vacations, all of us have fallen in love with Galveston.
Best of Tides is our second home in Galveston on VRBO and we are excited to share it with you. Now, we are so excited to share it with YOUR family.
Our kids have lots of energy and busy schedules. Galveston is the perfect place for us to get away from the hustle and bustle of suburbia and enjoy each other. We are a Christian family, who would love to share this blessing with you.
We hope you also discover this beach house is perfect for making family memories. We hope you can reconnect with the people you love the most.

Why they chose this property

Best of Tides is the perfect size. We go to the beach to relax, but we also go to be together. The large Kitchen, peaceful screened deck and comfy living room provide plenty of areas for you relax. The three bedrooms and two baths gives us plenty of room to spread out.
Our family loves Pirates Beach. Ice cream trucks come by every afternoon, golf carts carry families and groups of friends to the beach, and dog-walkers and shell-seekers wave from the quiet streets below our deck.
The house is a short drive to the island's most interesting attractions; yet, it's far enough from the city that we can relax.

What makes this property unique

The Master upstairs has a wonderful view of the ocean and takes full advantage of the fact that Best of Tides is one of the tallest houses on the block. Best of Tides is also one of the newest homes in Pirates Beach and provides all of the amenities of home.
