An unexpected disappointment.
Beatrice was excellent in her advance communications and the property looked great online.
The check-in process was difficult. There is ample security which is great, but that means first trying to find parking on a busy street where you have to get lucky to find a spaces. Then you go talk to the security guard who gives you a transponder to get through two gates. You have to know not to cross over a line on the pavement, otherwise the transponder won't work. Then, once finally in a very expansive garage, the parking spot is tucked away in an obscure place. I had to circle the entire garage three times before spotting the space which isn't in numerical order. Finally, there is no room number on the door to the unit. Using the process of elimination at 12:30 at a place you've never been isn't what you want to do.
Inside the Unit
The beach view is advertised, but the back door is nearly impossible to shut. I had to slam it at least 20 times before I was able to latch it. The mattress quality was extremely poor, sinking significantly. When you try to run the fan, the light flickers on and off, so we had to turn the fans off. If we could have cooled the condo to the temperature we wanted (we, admittedly like it cold at night), that would have been ok, but the lowest temp on the thermostat was 70. The water pressure was poor. One bedroom had no pillows, so we had to distribute from the one that did.
We left the next morning. I emailed Beatrice and never heard back.
