This is a sweet little house! Clean. Comfortable beds. Interesting, charming decor, not cookie cutter, everything worked. (No beachy/happy exhortations on the walls, thank you!) Nice porch but it was too hot that week for us to enjoy even with ceiling fans! Bird action out the window, ibises hanging in the trees. Quiet street. Hope to go back in the fall. Generously and thoughtfully provisioned, even good knives. A gem.

Amazing time and awesome location

The house was awesome and very clean! The owners were very fast at answering any questions I had! Great location and plenty of parking for cars or boats. We enjoyed our stay and definitely looking forward to staying here again!

Refreshing Ocean Stay

Everyone was impressed with the comfort and charm of this ideal location. We absolutely loved it and would do it again. Easily located near ferry to the ocean and good sea food. Nice porch for long needed visits.

Wow, the mosquitoes here are no joke... we couldn't believe how hungry they were. Didn't matter how strong the wind... stand still and you'd be covered!Once inside, though... calm tranquility! Beds were clean and soft. Everything found as described. We spent a long Labor Day weekend cooking our fill of crab, clams, and mussels (found off the long pier nearby), and we found everything we could need in the kitchen! A nice lady two doors down reassured us that it was okay for us to fish off the wooden pier, but no luck catching anything with fins... maybe St. Sammy requires a more substantial blood sacrifice than what the skeeters stole?Spent a whole day on Cape Lookout... caught a couple dozen baitfish near the Historic Village, but our surf fishing was cut short because of a weird red seaweed that would collect into a slimy mass around the bait and weight... yuck! Maybe the seaweed will disappear when the weather turns colder?Anyways, we enjoyed ourselves immensely and hope to be back next year!

We really enjoyed our stay the house was fully equipped with everything you can think of for cooking. The view was amazing! The beds were really comfortable. Our family will definitely stay here again very soon!

Fantastic communication and easy to get around to everything. Due to the hurricane, there were a lot of mosquitos, but that’s not anyone’s fault.

Everything you need!

This house had everything you’d need for a stay on the island. We just need to our clothes and food. Very clean, comfortable and setup well. 30+ minutes to Morehead and Atlantic Beach. There’s a boat launch less than 10 minutes away (4.5 miles). We would definitely stay again!

Great cottage!

The home was exactly as advertised, and a perfect setup for three of us on a guys getaway weekend of fishing and golf. Minor quibble is we required to take our own trash and recycling to the dump 7 miles away. Not a huge deal, but definitely less than ideal. Overall a great stay!

Perfect homebase for our fishing trip

We loved staying here for a few days as we boated and fished around harkers island. 5min from cape pointe marina boat ramp. Space in the driveway for our truck and boat trailer. Mosquitos and noseeums get bad at dusk and into the night, across the island - we appreciated the screened in porch. No issues at all with the house or amenities. We will be back!

Exactly as expected, very clean, very well put together, very comfortable, and very accomodating. The kitchen was a just as you would expect in your home, the gas stove top was wonderful and there was even a coffee grinder. Very comfortable beds, screened in porch, books, games, etc. Trying to think of a negative......and I can't.
