Cargo District - Experience Wilmington Like a Local
From the front porch swing to the repurposed sewing machine vanity this baby blue bungalow is packed with charm and comfort. As much as you may want to relax in the backyard all day, I highly recommend exploring the area. Within a half-mile radius you will find beautiful historic homes, 2 county parks and numerous local restaurants, bottle shops, and a local distillery which offers live music on the weekends. For the relaxing evenings in there is a grocery store less than a mile away and the kitchen has all of the cooking utensils you will need. Feel free to listen to a vinyl in the collection on the record player, or you can visit Gravity Records just down the road to find your own gem. Also nearby are vintage thrift stores, the Downtown Riverwalk, and Independence Mall. Of course, it would be an injustice not to mention that the beach only a 15 minute commute. This home is perfect for an entertainment packed vacation, or a peaceful home away from home. Cleanliness and comfort is our top priority. Fresh linens, towels, and furniture covers will be provided with every stay.

Carolina Place, a neighbourhood in Wilmington, is home to this holiday home. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Wrightsville Beach and Carolina Beach. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College or Legion Stadium.
Stayed at this sweet house with my friend and her dog for 2 nights; we attended a concert at Live Oak Bank and visited the beautiful beach! Such a great area. Wonderful distillery very short walk, and a cool record book shop, The Fuzzy Needle. Highly recommend!

Very cute property with everything you need to be comfortable during your stay. Close/walkable to interesting activities. The back yard with astroturf was really nice for the dogs to enjoy. Beds were very comfortable. Glad I chose this property and will keep it on my list for future trips to Wilmington and the beach.
Great Stay for Exploring Wilmington & Nearby Beaches
My friends and I and our 3 dogs had a great stay here. The big fenced in back yard was such a great amenity to have. The check in process was very simple and straight forward. The location was in perfect proximity to downtown and even walking distance to breweries bars coffee shops etc.
my only feedback is that the kitchen could have used more glasses/utensils.
I would definitely recommend this place for people looking for a getaway to wilmington!
We enjoyed our stay so much! The house was beautiful and clean. The neighborhood was quiet yet friendly. The only issue we had which was no fault to host what so ever was the mosquitoes outside the house. We could not enjoy sitting outside because of that but maybe insect repellents would help! Overall we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this house to future guests!
This is a charming cottage, very comfortable, clean and stylish. The host is very easy to communicate with. It was the perfect place to stay with my 4 legged family member, with a neighborhood and sidewalks for walks, a fenced backyard and a host who obviously loves dogs. It was so quick and easy to get downtown, but far enough away at night to have a peaceful sleep. And kudos to the water pressure in the shower! I reccommend checking out or should i say Checking In to The Baby Blue cottage.
The Blue House is super cute. It was just enough space for 2 friends. The backyard is perfect for dogs with the fence, AstroTurf and dog bowls. It's very close to Ruff Draft - a dog bar which we went to several times. But we really enjoyed the even closer distillery which allows dogs indoors. You need to drive to the Cape fear district and out to the beach but it was a great location in the really trendy Cargo District. Would def stay again.
Perfect little house for our small family and dogs. Everyone had a great time. Great location by some really cool spots. Loved being able to walk the dogs over to 'Ruff Draft' and get some of their energy out. They also really enjoyed the fully fenced yard. They did lots of sunbathing! Only a 20 minute drive from our favorite beach, Carolina beach and only 5 minutes from the river walk where we were able to charge our car and walk around to some beautiful sights and restaurants. Super clean and very friendly and responsive hosts. Loved all the dog art around the home! 10/10 recommend.
My husband and I only stayed for 2 nights but were very impressed with this house. It has been completely remodeled and is beautiful inside and out. The fenced in back yard is perfect for dogs and/or hanging out enjoying the weather.
The location was perfect for us also. It was within a 10 minute walk to a distillery, brewery and a fantastic grilled cheese restaurant. There were many other places to visit by walking too. We also drove to the USS North Carolina across the bridge. That took maybe 15 minutes. Everything we needed was close enough to walk or a very short drive.
This property is not close enough to the nightlife downtown if you are wanting to walk, but is only a short drive. However, if you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is it! This house was the perfect spot to sight see and relax at the same time. It was always quiet and serene. We will stay here again when visiting Wilmington.
