About this property

Custom-built mountain cottage w/ hot tub & heated floors

**NOTE: Due to Hurricane Helene, Asheville and greater Western North Carolina have experienced historic damage. We are so lucky to say that the cottage was not damaged in the storm, and roads to and from are cleared and open. Power is on (hooray- heated floors!), cell signal/internet and drinking water have all been restored. Come show Asheville some love!**

Whether you want to sample the 30+ local breweries, explore the Blue Ridge Parkway, or enjoy amazing restaurants and shopping in downtown Asheville, this studio cottage will be a quiet retreat for when you return.

We designed and built this cottage as a passion project. Quiet, simplistic, and elegant, we hope you will enjoy the special touches we built into the property: wall-to-wall radiant flooring, skylights, various lighting options, and a private hot tub with a mountain view.

The sleeping area is set up with a new Nectar Sleep queen bed. Spacious closet with built-in shelving is waiting when you are ready to get settled. Attached to the sleeping area is a sun-filled, full bath with a step-in shower, featuring both rainfall and standard shower heads.

There is a full laundry room with a stacked washer and dryer, laundry detergent is provided. Also available is an iron and ironing board.

Because the cottage is a studio, the living area and kitchen area lead into one another making the floor plan open and intimate. There is cable and high speed wi-fi internet.

The kitchen is spacious and contains an electric stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and fridge. There are an assortment of utensils and cooking equipment at your disposal. Plates, bowls, and utensils are also supplied, along with a coffee maker, locally-roasted coffee, and some teas.

There is a small outdoor sitting area overlooking the property, accessible by the front door. A privacy fence provides some added space and seclusion, but won't keep you from seeing the wild turkeys, hawks, and deer. There is also a Solo Stove Bonfire for your use upon request. Walking around the side of the house, you will find the hot tub, which is thoroughly cleaned after every guest.

The cottage property is semi-private, you will pass another home when you head up the private drive.

It was a very nice studio Cabin situated far enough away from the main house to just feel like a neighbor. The jacuzzi was very relaxing at night with a nice clear view of the stars, I would definitely book again.

Great weekend in Asheville!

The little place is just perfect for some time away. Close enough to all the things to keep you busy if you want that, and away enough from the hustle to help you really unplug and rest. We loved how the cottage was designed to truly make you feel like you're outdoors when you’re inside. Beautiful finishes, and such a great place to stay. Superb hosts!

Perfect Cozy Getaway

Absolutely fell in love with this cottage! Perfect distance to downtown without being surrounded by people. Also far enough outside of the city you are surrounded by nature, and on the way to great hikes further north. The cottage itself was very quaint and perfect for two people! The cottage was well kept and has everything you need, and looks exactly like the photos. Also, the couple who owns this cottage built it themselves, and you can definitely feel the love! 100% would stay here again on my next trip to Asheville!

If you want a quiet spot but still close to downtown Asheville then this is the place for you. My husband and I spent the weekend here and couldn’t wait to get back to the rental at night to soak the night away in the Hot Tub. Super clean and it had everything you needed.

We're Nicholas & Lianne! Nicholas has lived in Asheville for 22 years, and Lianne for 10. When we're not working, we enjoy western North Carolina's incredible hiking, kayaking, live music, beers and food. We are both so passionate about Asheville and the greater area of Western North Carolina, and we truly love getting to share it with visitors!

We both enjoyed living downtown for several years, but having this 3-acre property has given us peace and quiet, while being within close proximity to everything Asheville has to offer.

Asheville provides a variety of activities from hiking, mountain climbing, shopping, antiquing, river floats, brewery tours, art walks, and amazing restaurant tastings. The cottage is also situated close to historic, ever-resilient Marshall and quaint Weaverville, both offering their own unique mountain charm and variety of activities.

What makes this property unique

Nicholas designed the cottage in 2020, and brought his designs to life in 2021 (with help from Lianne and talented local friends). This house was a true labor of love, and we hope the creativity, thoughtfulness, and quality craftsmanship shows. The cottage will surely enhance your visit to this breathtaking part of the country.
