Stayed for 8 days with four adults and a large dog and can’t say enough good things about this home .Very comfortable inside with everything you might need in the kitchen,and the outdoor spaces were even better .Multiple seating areas sun or shade your choice .Close to everything in and around Jackson but very quiet.Did not want to leave

Great Ski House

We had a great time at Lori's house. It was a quick ride over to Black Mountain. The house was as described. Clean, cozy and well stocked. We would defiantly stay here again!

Wonderful stay!

We had such a wonderful stay at this property and Lori was a pleasure to work with! We loved the home, it’s sustainability and the beautiful surrounding landscaping. We also brought our pup, and Lori provided wonderful touches to making her stay wonderful too. This property is close to Jackson Falls, North Conway and Storyland. We loved our stay and will definitely be coming back!

Fabulous!

Fantastic property located next to Black Mountain. Close drive to North Conway Village, Story Land. Nice scenic drive to Mt. Washington or Santa's Village. Owner is easy to contact and very helpful. Unique and special mountain getaway!

Rain or shine this place makes great memories! Just returned from our week and start to finish it was terrific. Our family of 5 plus two more family members enjoyed every aspect of the home, inside and out. We definitely took advantage of bocce playing, Black Mtn horseback riding, and all the nearby swimming holes. Bunk beds were such a hit! Lori was so quick and helpful in her replies and in her travel planning tips. Thanks once again for our summer highlight and we would love to come back!

Perfect retreat

Lori’s house sat up on a hill overlooking Black Mountain across from Whitney’s inn. Everything was perfect with plenty of space and everything you could possibly need for your stay. She was very creative and detailed in her decorating ideas and decor. You could walk to Black mountain / Whitney’s inn and shovel hand pub for food and drinks. A quick ride down the road and you have other great dining options as well as the Jackson Falls. Definitely one of the best if not the best houses we have stayed in. We will only try and book her place from now on!

Truly excellent experience

My family and I had an amazing stay here. First and foremost, this is a place whose owners really care about it. The unique detail and decor throughout the house and the organization and care taken to equip and prepare it for guests are reflected in what a cool, one-of-kind place this is. My kids already miss the bunk beds and we hung out in a different spot every night. The owners are awesome; I got all kinds of great insight to help us make the most of our trip and they went above and beyond to make our stay even better than we could have expected. This is a great location if you want to ski Black Mountain, which has an amazing vibe and is really coming back. It’s basically right next door and when they run the awesome Shovel Handle lift it is literally right there. Also a good spot to ski Wildcat and Attitash out if, about 20 minutes to each.Theres a reason all the reviews of this house are extremely positive - theyre clearly doing something right and we couldn’t recommend it enough. Thanks for a great stay!

Amazing location

My family and I loved our stay in Jackson! Lori was so easy to work with and had such a beautiful home in a perfect location. We enjoyed the views of the mountains from all of the windows, the comfy beds, all the interesting decorations, and the kids really loved the first floor area with a pool tables, cool bunk beds, and tons of games. We've rented lots of homes and this one was really unique - one of kind. Also such a sweet touch to provide treats for the dog upon arrival - thanks! And Jackson is a cute little town and a great jumping off point for hiking and exploring in the White Mountains. The house is in a super quiet area but just a 10 minute drive from North Conway with all of its shops and restaurants. We all had so much fun on this vacation and hope to be back some day!

Great Jackson Getaway

Family trip with 3 kids (9,8,2) for a safe getaway during the current pandemic. Communication was easy and excellent with the pleasant owner. Property was even nicer than it looked in all of the great pictures. Spotlessly clean. Summer landscaping and views of the gorgeous mountains made this ski house a great summer house as well in my opinion. Enjoyed all the space in the house particularly the first floor for the kids to play, bunk, and have a few family movie nights. Beds were very comfortable as well. Quiet location perfect for trips to Jackson Falls, Jackson Village (enjoyed the lattes at Autumn Nomad), hiking in Pinkham's Notch, trips to North Conway, etc. Look forward to possibly returning one day.

We purchased the property of our dreams in 2006. We spent the next 2 years building our house and moved into it in 2008. We have been working on it ever since and it is most definitely a labor of love.

We pride ourselves in offering a unique and unforgettable experience to our guests. Most of our guests have returned many times over the past 10 years and consider it their second home, which is exactly how we want them to feel!

Our home is quite unique and one of the things our guests love about it. We designed and built the home with the effort and intent to minimize the impact on our beautiful natural environment as much as possible, both during the construction process and once living in it. The house was built with ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) construction. Basically, this means that the walls are one foot in mass, from the foundation to the roofline, consisting of recycled Styrofoam blocks filled with 6” of poured concrete. This construction not only makes the home virtually indestructible and allergen free (bacteria and mold cannot grow in this type of environment); it makes it extremely energy efficient, as the concrete mass keeps out the cold in the winter and the warmth in the summer. In addition, this type of construction greatly minimizes waste and the use of natural materials used in a conventional stick frame build.

We have never stopped working on improving our home over the years (and probably never will because we love working on it) and it is another thing our returning guests love because they always have a new surprise to enjoy when they arrive. We look forward to the opportunity to be your hosts and we are very pleased to answer any questions you may have about our home or Jackson.
