Lovely well- maintained property. Clean, spacious, with everything one needs to enjoy a lake vacation. Big Sand is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.
Our stay at Big Sand Lake was fantastic. The home fit our family well. Much bigger than the pictures. The view from the deck is fantastic, and the access to the lake is second to none. Check-in and check-out was effortless. Great communication from the owners. Will be returning!
Relaxing Lake Vacation with all the Amenities of Home
Beautiful home and picturesque setting. Very comfortable beds and nice furnishings. Easy to book and had great communications from management group and owners. Recommend this location, for sure.
This was one of the best properties we’ve ever stayed in! This home was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had stunning views of the lake. The hosts were great at communicating and checking in. We’re looking forward to visiting again during the summer!
The house and property were beautiful and very well kept. The weather didn’t cooperate during our stay, so we spent a lot of time inside playing games, watching movies, eating, and drinking! The Sand Bar on 70 is within easy walking distance and has great food and drinks. The house was very comfortable with everything needed for a great stay!
This was a girls weekend. Early in the season and weather kept us inside a bit, but we loved sitting on the deck and putting a puzzle together on the table.
The property was nice with a great view of Big Sand Lake.
Our family enjoyed time on the lake and special time together with our newest baby granddaughter!
Did a pontoon rental from Triple J. They were super great to work with and we were so happy to all be together on the boat!
Beautiful area to visit & stay for our get-away!
We really enjoyed our stay at the home on Big Sand Lake. The home is comfortable, kitchen is well stocked and the kids loved using the kayaks provided. The lake is beautiful, we brought our boat and had fun fishing and boating. We caught fish off the dock as well and enjoyed bonfires in the firepit overlooking the lake. It was a perfect week at the lake, thank you for sharing your lake home with us!
There were six of us. We had plenty of room. The place was very clean and beautiful views of the lake. Bonus was having kayaks and a bar/grill at the end of the driveway!!
We were looking for a quiet week of boating and relaxing and we found it here. Away from it all but a short drive to little towns that have food and shopping. Great little bar and grill within walking distance for a quick bite. Beautiful and clean home with all the little things that make it a home away from home. Only con was master bedroom bed was very firm but that is personal preference.
This property has everything for your stay. Even more beautiful and taken care of than the photos. It had all my checks for our stay, jetted tub, near local attractions, sunset view. Captured the Northern Lights on our Anniversary. Less than 2 hours to Stillwater where we went on a supper cruise. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property. Will recommend and hope to return in the future.
My husband’s and I stayed for 2 nights with free of 50 years. The house was excellent for us. Lots of privacy and a beautiful lake to look at. Kitchen had everything you’ll need for preparing snacks and meals. Beautiful beach.
We’re here in the fall so not sure how the swimming would be? But it the beach was sandy and looks lovely.
College graduation reunion, celebrating 55 years of friendship
This is a spacious, beautifully decorated & welcoming home with comfy beds and furniture. We found the kitchen to be spotless and well-equipped. We loved the outdoor seating, especially the deck for morning coffee and evening happy hour! We enjoyed some awesome meals at The Sand Bar on 70 (at the end of the driveway!) especially the Burgers, Walleye Sandwich and Prime Rib Sandwich. We spent a day and a half shopping in Siren and Spooner, lunching at Round Man Brewing. Mostly, we enjoyed relaxing in this peaceful setting (very minimal boat traffic), watching the eagles and geese, reading, chatting, and sometimes snoozing in the comfy loungers. It was perfect for celebrating the anniversary of our college graduation, and our 55 years of friendship.
We enjoyed our stay! We had 5 adults and 1 toddler. Pros: kitchen is fully equipped. They even have an electric hand mixer. Very clean space. Beds are comfortable and clean. Plenty of lounge chairs for sitting at the lake. Kayaks. Very quiet and peaceful. Lots of wildlife right off the dock. Really close to town. Cons: Nothing about the cabin was a con. The only thing I’d mention for others with little kids is that it is not exactly a walk in beach. Fine for adults, hard for a toddler age because it’s about a 10 inch drop into the lake from the shoreline. Lots of rocks and shells in the water which makes it tough to walk in the water without shoes for little kids. Adults were all fine.
We would definitely stay here again!

Big Sand Lake WI
On the plus side,
The cabin, actually a house, that we rented was very nice. Fairly new house. Well landscaped yard with beautiful plans etc. Nicely furnished interior. A dock on the lake in the back yard and a row boat as well as four kayaks that were available for us to use.
On the minus side,
A few days before the check-in date I was asked to pay my second installment of the total payment which I had already done one month ahead of the check-in date.
Also on the day of us checking in we were first given the wrong address. This was, however, quickly resoled with a phone call.

Lovely Home on a Very Nice Lake!
Other than dealing with the management company this is a wonderful home on a very nice lake! The management company kept sending me messages through VRBO, I kept responding with questions that were not answered. It should be made clear during the reservation process that there is a check in form that needs to be completed. I would have completed it right away, during the reservation process, if it had been made clear during any of the previous communications. Because they took our final payment many days before our check-in we felt like there was nothing left to do, before we enjoyed our vacation. These interactions with the management company were very stressful and strained the beginning of our vacation.
