The quintessential Highlands Home! Absolutely stunning inside and out. It was perfect for my dad's 80th birthday with 12 family members. Plenty of space for quiet conversations, cooking, family dinners, quiet reading, naps and games. Some of the shower faucets are quirky, but Maria came to the rescue with a prompt response and support. Its a 5 minute drive to Main Street and several trails are nearby.
The home and property is a very special and beautiful place. The three homes makes it great for a group or large family across multiple generations. The outdoor area is stunning and has a great trail down the road to run up the Satulah mountain that you see from outside. Kitchen comes well stocked and Maria was friendly to work with.
Amazing property. Perfect for 16 long time friends celebrating their 70th birthdays. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. As well as large areas where we could all be together! Would definitely recommend.
Everyone enjoyed their stay. The wee cottage was where my husband and I stayed. For future guests, a closet hanging rod and bathroom towel racks/hooks would be very helpful. Also a small toaster and single coffee maker would be nice. Thanks again for such an elegant house in a great mountain setting!
The property exceeded our expectations. The two guest houses provided plenty of room for family spreading across several generations to visit. The grandchildren loved running through the woods, catching fireflies, etc...
The house was wonderful! Private , yet close to town. Only drawback was the multiple levels and the steps between rooms was difficult for an old lame fatman . Very roomy and comfortable.
This was a wonderful property, especially for our big extended family. There was a lot of room for everyone to spread out whether inside or outside. The kitchen is well appointed, the bathrooms are great and there is more than enough room for everyone to have a seat to eat (dining room, eat in kitchen, table on patio, outdoor pavilion). And it is decorated beautifully! We had kids of all ages and found it easy to contain the smallest in the kitchen (door to dining room shuts) and on the patio. There is a closest within the master bathroom that fit our pack and play perfectly so it was easy to find a quiet place for our 11 month old to sleep. The property is close to town which made going back and forth for activities/restaurants easy. The property manager, Maria, was so thoughtful, quick to respond and helpful throughout our stay. We only have good things to say about our stay! We will definitely be back!
This property is well appointed. The grounds are beautiful and it seems every comfort was considered. Several areas perfect for reading a book. Kitchen is designed for ease in preparing meals with state of the art appliances. The Big Green Egg and pellet smoker was used to full capacity!! The big screen tv in the grill area helped us stay current on the sports. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Hi Vivian- Thank you so much! We are glad you enjoyed your stay!
Wonderful place…if there was any draw back I would say that a few more Queen beds in place of the Fulls would be nice…also the wifi @ the pavilion might need attention - the tv had several episodes where it would stop and load during the movie/ballgame…not that big of a deal just annoying…wifi everywhere else was good…
The house(s) were beautifully appointed. The fabrics and wallpaper were top notch. Linens were high end. The kitchen had everything you needed(possibly need a rolling pin). The dishes ,glassware, pots/pans were all quality, matching. My only disappointment would be that nearly every drawer, cupboard, closet had leftover stuff in themscrews, lightbulbs, extra artwork, extra drawer pulls, wallpaper…. If they could be gathered and put in one location it would finish the upscale feel of this impressive home. We all wished we could live there full time.
We rented this home for my mother’s 80th birthday. It was the perfect home to accommodate 4 generations. The outdoor covered patio with Green Egg grills was used daily, as was the outdoor fireplace and TV. We especially enjoyed watching the LSU Tigers win the College World Series on the outdoor patio. The kitchen is beautiful and well-appointed. The furnishings throughout are gorgeous and comfortable. There so many rooms to enjoy on this property. The log cabin and guest house are also very nice, and allows for families to spread out. The billiards room was also a hit with our group, providing for friendly competition among siblings. The home is very convenient to the grocery store (3-4 minute drive) and to Highlands shops. This home truly has it ALL!!
Abney Rose Review The whole place is marvelously maintained and decorated. We had lots of places to gather and chat and play games and eat. It is deceptively large and the photos do not do it justice. The view of the mountainside is breathtaking. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cooking items. We stayed there for 4 days and it was relaxing and easily the best time I’ve had on a trip in recent years. The outdoor area was a hit as well and we kept a fire going all day outside while playing dominos. A fantastic place to stay and gather and relax.
