The cabin is close to Sugar Bowl Ski Area, Donner Ski Ranch, Soda Springs Ski Area, Royal Gorge Ski Area, and Pacific Crest Trail access.

We want you to feel at home in our cabin. The extent of our interaction is up to you, but we and/or our housekeeper will be available as needed to field questions or help out. We`ll send you our house manual prior to your arrival so that you can get acquainted and know what to expect.

For your convenience, we have provided a video playlist that is jam-packed with information and tutorials that will be your go-to for all questions and how-tos around the house.

Serene Lakes is part of the North Tahoe area that is located in the northern Sierra Nevada mountain range in California, quietly nestled in the heart of Donner Summit. It is approximately one mile south of the town of Soda Springs and Interstate Highway 80.

Driving, hiking, biking, skiing - you can explore any way you choose! It might be a little hard to get a taxi though. Uber might come to get you?

We ask that you please be respectful to our neighbors by keeping the noise down after 10 pm

This is a brand-new rental property. Some items may still need to be worked out and can only be identified by guests. Please be patient and help us make the experience better for the next guests.

Additional House Rule:
To ensure the comfort and safety of all guests, please be aware of the following policies:

1. Unauthorized Events or Parties:
-Guests are strictly prohibited from hosting parties or unauthorized events during their reservation.
-Any violation of this policy will result in a penalty charge of $500.

2. No Smoking Policy:
-Smoking is not permitted within the premises, including rooms, common areas, and balconies.
-Any evidence of smoking within the property will result in a penalty charge of $500.

3. Unauthorized late check outs or extension
- Guests are not allowed to stay beyond their check out time unless authorized in advance.
- Any unauthorized late check out, we will charge a late check out fee of $200.

4. Refundable Security Deposit
-We will pre-authorize a $500 security deposit on your card one day prior to your check-in. Please note, this is not a charge but a temporary hold. The deposit will be refunded within 7 days after check-out, provided there are no damages, missing items, or violations of our house rules.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these rules. These guidelines are in place to maintain a peaceful and enjoyable environment for all guests.

Fees Disclosure:
• Guests must select either a refundable security deposit or an optional damage waiver for stay protection.
• A pet fee applies for approved, pre-registered pets at $59 per pet
• All fees are fully disclosed in advance and processed through secure, VRBO-compliant software “Enso Connect”
• Acceptance of our rental agreement and applicable fees are required to receive access to the property. No exceptions.
