An unforgettable Forgotten Coast getaway awaits at this classic shotgun Florida cottage. Saved from destruction and moved to its present location, nostalgia and new memories await you at this quaint Florida cottage full of vintage Florida charm, original hardwood flooring, and intimate access to nature. A timeless classic, this laid-back retreat offers relaxed digs for families, couples, divers or anglers looking for a quiet and convenient seaside escape. Located just six miles and mere minutes outside of the towns of Carrabelle, Eastpoint, Apalachicola and St. Georges Island, you'll have boat rentals, charter services, and magnificent seafood restaurants at your fingertips.
While visiting Carrabelle be sure to pay a visit to the 'World's Smallest Police Station' or pick up a picnic lunch and enjoy the nostalgic 50's beach pavilions while taking in the sights and smell of the surf. This home borders Tate's Hell State Forest where you can find many hiking trails to explore, including the very popular High Bluff Trail that comes complete with local wildlife sightings such as heron, deer and of course the occasional bear. Whatever you choose, plan to have a memorable and spectacular day of fun at this centrally located Florida cottage. Two kayaks are also available for your enjoyment and are located in the backyard.
In the mornings, sip coffee on the front porch, and in the afternoons, retreat to the breezy screened porch. In the evenings relax under the starlit skies and loosely strung lights beside the fire cauldron or just lay back on the hammock or in one of the Adirondack chairs. This time capsule cottage comes adeptly furnished for both casual downtime or lively conversation. Should you enjoy preparing your own meals, you'll find this petite kitchen still offers you a host of kitchen appliances and modern conveniences. A newly upgraded 2024 private washer/dryer set makes doing your laundry before heading home a breeze and the mounted air-conditioners provide an extra layer of comfort during your stay.
