This property is absolutely amazing inside and out. It was perfect for our crew as we traveled through the area with a peaceful location to enjoy a warm wood-burning fireplace, and it's close enough to some great restaurants and local interest points to help make your trip a great time. I will 100% stay there again if/when I am back in the area.

Our son graduated from Middlebury and we had lots of family with us ranging from 19 to 85. The old orchard house had room for us all and was such a lovely and spacious place for us to gather and celebrate the weekend.

We're delighted that the old orchard house provided a lovely and spacious setting for your family, to gather and celebrate this special occasion. We hope to have the pleasure of hosting you again in the future!
This house was absolutely perfect for our group which included young adults, old adults, older adults, a toddler and two dogs! The house was gorgeous, the fireplace worked beautifully and we had a fire going constantly, cooked in the very well-equipped kitchen, and enjoyed roaming the property. The town of Brandon is lovely, with a fantastic bakery/coffeeshop, micro-brewery, independent bookstore and unique gift shops. There was also a grocery store in town. We hope to be back. Highly recommend.

It sounds like you really enjoyed everything the property and town had to offer! We’d love to host you again in the future and hope to see you back soon. Highly recommend, right back at you!
Nice, rustic house outside of downtown Brandon Vermont. Easy access, smooth checkin, and plenty of kitchen dishes and cookware. No AT&T cell service for me in the house (though there was at the top of the driveway), but good internet. The weather was pretty hot for Vermont - there are room air conditioners in most rooms and the common space that worked pretty well.Clean place, though not new. And a bit unusual that there were wooden indoor shutter for most windows, and only a few shades/curtains.

hank you for sharing your detailed feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the easy access, smooth check-in, and well-equipped kitchen. We appreciate your notes about cell service, cooling, and window coverings—this helps us continue improving the guest experience. We’re happy you found the home clean and comfortable, and we’d love to host you again in Brandon!
Plenty of room for 8 of us to spread out and enjoy. A lot of character to the house...old charm with modern upgrades. Sitting on the back porch was so relaxing. We saw the deer, wild turkeys, chipmunks, tree frogs...heaven. One surprise...I wasn't expecting the house to be so well insulated inside. Even in the adjoining rooms....there was no noise. I didn't hear a peep. Check out requirements are a breeze and the customer service from Getaway was top notch. We made so many memories. Thank you!

We’re so glad you enjoyed the home’s charm, peaceful setting, and wildlife visits! It’s wonderful to hear the quiet, comfort, and space made your stay so memorable. Thank you for your kind words, and we’d love to host you again!
Recommended. Hand rail up front porch for elderly, set of steps off back porch for elderly so they dont have far to walk to pond, clearer instructions on where things are in the home ie light switches or switches for awning, ceiling fans. More fans or ceiling fans in home and there were plenty of tvs i the home but only 2 were smart tvs so none of others worked with wifi or cable.

Thank you so much for your helpful feedback and recommendation!
We truly appreciate you pointing out ways we can improve the experience—especially for elderly guests. Adding a handrail to the front porch and a set of steps off the back porch are excellent suggestions, and we’ll pass them along to the owner for consideration. We also understand how clear instructions and improved fan access can make a stay more comfortable, and we’ll work on updating our in-home guide to better explain switches and amenities.
Regarding the TVs, we apologize for the limited smart TV access and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We’ll review the setup to see if upgrades are possible to enhance the entertainment experience.
Thanks again for staying with us and for your thoughtful input!
