Important Notes
Age & Aroma: The cabin is in the woods and is over 120 years old. Because of this, it does have the scent of the 120 year old hand hewn beams. Many people enjoy the scent, but if you are sensitive to smells or have allergies, please do not book this property if that would bother you. There is absolutely no mold, etc., but the beams do give off a very faint rustic “old cabin” wood aroma.
Critter Season: This is the time of the year that outside critters start trying to find places to sleep! Because of this we do have rodent poison around the cabin and under appliances/furniture. While we have not had any issues, there is always the chance that a critter sneaks in through an open door, etc. **Please make sure doors remain shut to avoid this.** Please also avoid any children or pets going under furniture or appliances.
Wasp Spray: We will have bottles of wasp spray on the front porch for summer months, although we haven’t seen many bees/wasps for some time.
Windows & AC: If you use the Central Air, please close all the windows. You may use the air conditioner or the small window upstairs but please do not try to open the bedroom windows in the upstairs bedrooms.
How to Reach Us: If you have any issues, questions, etc. please message in the app. If you call/text it may take much longer for our staff to respond. However, we will respond quickest in the app.
Damage Policy: Lastly, before each stay, we check that everything is in working order and there are no rips, tears, spills, stains, etc. on anything. Should something happen during your stay that damages something, we’d rather you notify us right away rather than us having to charge for damages that we were not told about. You are also encouraged to let us know if you see anything that is wrong upon checkin.
Complaint Policy: We will not tolerate complaints about any of the above if you decide to book this property. Please inspect the property upon arrival and if there is anything unsatisfactory, please notify us upon arrival. We can always have someone come out to fix anything that is unsatisfactory. Understand that we will not tolerate renters complaining after their stay when we could have made things right. Please do not expect a refund or cancellation of your stay if you do not notify us right away if anything is unsatisfactory. It is an old, charming property that deserves renters who will enjoy their time!
We truly appreciate you taking care of our little cabin—and we hope you enjoy your stay!

Everything was excellent. The cabin is very cute and comfortable. Out host was very responsive when we contacted them and if we needed anything. Highly recommend this cabin and will stay again.
The cabin was cozy and well equipped. I was visiting PSU and I was only about 15 minutes away. The listing is accurate and the host was great! I’d stay here again. The cabin is musty so not good for asthma allergies, babies. Aside from that it’s a great place to stay to relax or visit PSU, I’d recommend!
Absolutely beautiful! It was pretty close to the road but that was actually beneficial for a geoup of people new to the area. It made it easy to find. Perfect for our weekend getaway. Absolutely LOVED the shower and the overall design of the house. Will definitely use again if we stay in the area!
Our stay was very comfortable and the hosts were great. The Vrbo just was as described and lovely. The instructions for our stay and checkout were very clear. The hosts proactively let us know they had received notice of a WiFi outage and what to expect; the outage was brief and did not cause us interference. We would definitely stay again!

There are no highways near the cabin. It's at 3474 McAlevys Fort Rd. It is on Rt 26. Not sure how this constituted a negative review. We even asked how everything was, etc and you never mentioned any road noise. We are disappointed and will not be renting to you again.
The cabin is old and rustic, but has heat, AC, washer-dryer, and WiFi so plenty up-to-date. The beds were comfortable. The owners were very responsive through the VRBO app and checkin was super easy. I liked the location in the woods it was calm and rustic and an easy walk to Whipple Dam SP.
Rustic with plenty of modern amenities. The bathroom remodel is great! A couple minor experiences with wild life, but it was a great stay. Dog came with us and had a great stay as well. Would definitely come here again!
We loved the place! Very nice and cozy. Very clean, hosts were great, ran into no issues where we needed to contact them. It was all very well set up. The one thing I would say is that the extra toilet paper was in the kitchen instead of the bathroom. And that suddenly became a problem in the moment as we were using the bathroom. But we just moved the extras there, so crisis averted. But otherwise, everything else was great! Nothing to nitpick about. Would stay again!
