Great place to stay in the Hill City area. Close to trails and dining. Brad's place sits right on Hill Lake and is fantastic. I would highly recommend it to families and friends getting away for a vacation.
The property is so peaceful and the home was very accommodating for our annual family vacation.
Brad was excellent to work with if we needed anything he was quick to reply.
Great place to stay, thankful for the in floor heat and electic heat upstairs, lp ran out and got a little chilly, we were nervous about a gas leak because we could hear the furnace try to ignite constantly and never did! No idea we could possibly be out of lp Not much sleep that night.
Great place to stay for our hunt up in Hill City! Very clean, affordable, great amenities, fully staffed kitchen, bath, shower and tv in all rooms! Had a great fire outside at the fire pit and plenty of parking. Comfy beds, plenty of seating everywhere! Will definitely choose this home again and in summer also!
Cabin slept all 10 of us fine, spacious master sweet for the wife and I. Dock had plenty of room for our 4 boats. Lake fished well, caught some record bass for our group!
Gorgeous cabin with a perfect lot on a beautiful lake. Host is very responsive and friendly. Everything you could ask for. Best fishing we found on the lake was from the dock. Crappies, sunfish, perch, and even walleye! Had kids ranging from 2 to 18 and there was something for all of them. Would love the chance to go back!
We spent six days at this property in July with a group ranging from adult down to 10 years of age. The house was a comfortable size with plenty of beds to sleep and an extra air mattress provided upon request. The property has a beautiful view of the lake and easy access off a gravel road. Parking was a little tight with three trucks and trailers with side-by-sides and ATVs but we managed to make it work. The pontoon included with the property was a nice addition and we were able to take it out on the lake! We all really enjoyed our time on the pontoon! Our host was very responsive and attended to our needs immediately. He quickly answered any questions we had and offered advice about the area as well. He was very accommodating in all ways!! Our only suggestion would be to have the air conditioning unit turned on 24 hours prior to the arrival of guests as it took about 24 hours to cool the house down and it was quite warm in the house for that period of time. There were plenty of fans to use, which was helpful And it stayed decently cool at night with windows open. It wouldn’t hurt to bring an extra fan from home as well if you like to sleep cool like we do. We would definitely stay at this property again!
The cabin was roomy & clean. Didn’t realize there was no air conditioning- the ceiling fans never stopped. We reserved the pontoon, but couldn’t get it started. Called the owner and he tried to trouble shoot and asked us to put the batteries on a charger in the garage. We declined. No boating for us. The misquotes were awful. When I first arrived, the manager said he’d be back later or the next day to fog for the misquotes. He did not come me back. So our outdoor time was limited. There were no directions on what to do when leaving, so we stripped the beds & ran the dishwasher. There was a lot of garbage in the garage where we placed the trash. Maybe a winter visitor visit would be more enjoyable.
The family really enjoyed the cabin during our stay. Grill & fire pit and plenty of outdoor seating. The kayaks, SUP & pontoon boat were perfect for exploring the lake. Kitchen was fully stocked with cooking essentials. 25-30 minutes drive to downtown Grand Rapids. Would recommend!
Beautiful house with lots of space, fully equipped with everything you need, good variety of inside & outside games & lake toys. Nice flat property leading to the lake. Great fishing off the dock. Nice small quiet lake.
