All new appliances & furniture, Huge open concept living room/kitchen area redesigned with large quartz kitchen island - perfect for gatherings! Home has 3 bedrooms total, including 2 bedrooms with king beds, and another bedroom with twin over double bunk and twin w/ trundle. Additionally, there is sleeping space in the brand new basement rec room, including another King size bed and Queen sofa sleeper. Enjoy lounging or grilling on the large backyard deck after a day of fishing or shopping downtown Port Washington. Located in the heart of Port, just a few blocks to downtown area & Lake Michigan.

Beautiful Home and town

This was a very nice and clean place to stay. The owners were very nice and easy to work with. The house is close to town and in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. Beds were very comfortable. Went with my family (7adults total) and there was plenty room. Will definitely stay here again! Highly recommend this place.

Great place!

Nice house, all new furniture and renovations. 3 nice bedrooms and a beautiful deck. Highly recommended! Close to the lake and bike path. The owner is super friendly and available. We will be staying here again!

Perfect property for kiddos!

This house is ideal for families with kiddos! My 4yo and 6yo lived the bunk beds, giant smart TV, and huge kitchen island. A great home base for exploring the wonderful parks and downtown Port, and a great place to gather and watch the Packers game!

What a gem!

This was an exceptional stay. The house is recently remodeled and they did such a lovely job. It was truly the perfect landing spot for me and my family. Easily walkable to downtown Port Washington and the Marina. It was also nice to have on-site parking behind the garage. Holly was a great communicator from the start and very helpful. I would book this listing again in a heartbeat.

Family Vacation 2024

My husband, daughter, son-in-law and I loved the house. The bedroom area in the lower level provided them their own space. The house was clean and the neighborhood was very cozy and quiet. We visited WI manly to enjoy sites in Milwaukee but found ourselves also enjoying spending time in Port Washington. We walked into the downtown area and had dinner then walked out to a nearby lighthouse. Such a great little town. We felt like we were in a town in the New England area. Would definitely stay here again!

2023 Family Vacay

Holly demonstrated exemplary customer service from the first message I sent, through booking and all the way until after checkout. She was so helpful and kind. She really went the extra mile. The house was fantastic!! It was unbelievably clean, and the remodel was very well done. It was like staying at a 5 star hotel. It had everything you need. Best rental we’ve ever stayed!!!

This place is incredible! Excellent location to cute picturesque downtown Port Washington and just a hop and skip to downtown Milwaukee. The home had excellent finishes with more amenities than most places provide. Extra thought was put into the kitchen with a large island and super comfy chairs. Being our whole family are coffee drinkers we also enjoyed the Kuerig duo. The kitchen also had a quiet dishwasher and convenient water and ice in the frig. The open floor concept was spacious with more than enough seating for everyone and equipped with an upscale 77” OLED tv in the living room for our viewing pleasure. Bathrooms were upgraded, clean and nicely supplied. Plenty of bath towels, lots of hot water and good water pressure. And a nice bonus, tall shower heads, my son-in-law is 6’7” so he was especially appreciative. All the king beds (we didn’t use the other beds) were comfortable and outfitted with quality linens and bedding. Just can’t say enough about how nice and comfortable our stay was in this adorable home. You won’t regret renting it. If we are ever in the area again, we will without a doubt stay again. We cannot emphasize enough how WONDERFUL our hosts were and how INCREDIBLE the property was. When we arrived, we were so amazed by the cleanliness and open feeling of the place, yet how warm and inviting it felt. My fiance and I rented the vrbo for our families for our wedding weekend- and some of our bridal party ended up getting their hair and makeup done at the vrbo. The hosts knew it was our wedding weekend, and when we arrived, there were bottles of champagne and cards for us in the fridge, from both the hosts and the housekeeper, Cheryl. Fast forward to the morning of the wedding...my girls and I were getting ready, heating up some breakfast and the lights kept flickering. We were confused because we didn't even have any appliances plugged in, and then all the sudden it went dark. We checked the breakers, and we couldn't figure out what was going on, so we asked the neighbors, and sure enough, 1500 people were out of power in the Port Washington area. We remained calm, but also had to figure out what to do as it was 8am and we were supposed to be getting our hair and makeup done. We called Holly, the host, and she dove right in, as investigated in the matter as we were. She ended up getting ahold of the amazing neighbors who, without hesitation, dug a gas generator out of their garage and ran an extension cord to the house so we could plug in our curling irons and turn on some lights. Needless to say, we had a great time, made great memories, and had a 10/10 stay!!!

Beautiful and Interesting

We had a great stay at this beautifully designed and clean property. There was plenty of sleeping space, and the home was overall comfortable organized & clean. Parking was a bit of a challenge for us with no overnight parking and 3 spots for 8 adults. The owner kindly allowed us to park on the grass, albeit with some concern and monitoring. While we appreciated the hospitality, it felt a bit awkward to have the owner request a stop by to meet us without reason. It was requested the morning after our first night and we were quite surprised as none of us have experienced a request like this. The owner told us that morning, they do this with as many guests as possible. As a heads us, frequent text/vrbo check-ins came across as overly cautious.Toiletries and supplies were provided but it would have been helpful to know in advance how limited the quantities would be so we could plan accordingly. One that was a challenge was 2 garbage bags. We made a special trip to grab more but could have brought some if we'd know the limitation.Additionally, the bathtub was quite slippery and could use a non-slip mat for safety (found out afterwards there is.Check in and out were very easy and we did appreciate not having to strip the beds. Overall, it’s a lovely place, but a bit more privacy and clarity on amenities would enhance the experience.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I am grateful that you were comfortable and enjoyed our home. As for parking, the city of Port Washington has overnight winter parking restrictions in effect between the hours of 2:00am – 6:00am from December 1 – April 1 due to winter weather conditions. This is completely out of our control. It is unfortunate that this ordinance proved challenging for your group, but I am thankful that we were able to accommodate by allowing parking in our backyard to fit all your vehicles Additionally, I'm sorry that you did not appreciate my introduction and wish I’d known that you preferred to avoid this. I texted well ahead to make sure it was ok for me to stop in, and you approved of the brief meeting. I live out of state and happened to be visiting a neighboring city during your stay, so I thought it may be beneficial to meet you ladies to see how things were going and if you needed anything while I was there (perhaps this might have been a great time to voice the concerns mentioned in your review?). My background is customer service, and I strive to make every customer happy. What you call “Frequent texts/VRBO check-ins” were merely previous attempts at making sure you were happy, and those texts went unanswered (thus, the follow up texts/check-ins). Please note that I did and always do include “starter” (or limited) necessities for your stay to get you started, but I have no way of knowing what will be used during a guest’s visit. There is a Dollar General and grocery store within a few miles or less (walking distance) of the home for any extras that might be needed. Please note that your stay was for two nights only. As for the bathmat, we ALWAYS have a non-slip bath mat available within clear sight either in the bathroom closet or in the tub itself. Again, communication would have been key in asking about this bathmat if it was a concern. Thanks again for choosing to stay with us. We appreciate you!

We love hosting, and also own rentals in Panama City Beach, FL, and Nashville. Holly grew up in Port Washington. There truly is no place like home!

Why they chose this property

The home is within walking distance to all that Port Washington has to offer. We take great pride in and exquisite care of this home as it's Holly's childhood home and has remained in our family since it was built by her late grandmother. We've named our Port homestead "Generations" for this reason.
