Liza was a great host, easy going and accommodating. The place is well equipped and looks just like the pictures. It has a very comfortable bed and plush towels. The location is ideal.
It was exactly what we needed. Cozy and comfortable in a studio setting with a kitchenette. We were in town for my nephew's wedding and it was a great location, close to town.
We booked this property to stay in town for a wedding at the equinox golf resort, the proximity of the house to the venue and other local attractions and restaurants should make this a no brainer “book this spot” would book again.
My husband and I spent 6 nights at the property and really enjoyed our stay. It’s very quaint, clean, modern and comfortable. The bed was amazing. It’s very conveniently located to Manchester. Would definitely stay again!
Overall a fantastic place to stay. Well appointed with all the little extras to make your stay feel relaxed and pampered. Just a bit off the main road in town close enough to everything but quiet, relaxing, and secluded.
My wife and I recently spent three days at this clean and comfortable property, situated on a beautiful property behind the main house. Whether we turned left or right out of the driveway, we were minutes from all of Manchester and Dorset. Two things we particularly enjoyed were dinner at The Restaurant at Hill Farm and visiting the Dorset Farmers Market.
Came for a weekend wedding! The space was private, quiet, pristine and beautifully appointed!. I would gladly reserve it again on my next trip to Manchester. Great location just a few minutes from the village shops and restaurants!
Comfortable, clean, and charming studio apartment above garage, separated from owner’s home. Quiet location, convenient to town center. The bed was very comfortable - firm, but not too firm. Well-appointed kitchen. We appreciated the basket of light snacks! Delightful cross-breeze at night, if you open all the windows.Would definitely re-book next time we have a reason to stay in Manchester.
The hosts were extremely gracious, easy to communicate with and thought of every detail, including shoveling the steps the morning after it snowed. The property is well appointed, and very comfortable. The location is an easy walk to town. Another review mentions that the bed is fantastic and I would echo that!
The bunkhouse is in a perfect location. It is very clean and has a home feeling to it. Liza was more than helpful during our stay. We'll definitely be back! Easy 5 out 5 Stars!
I think that the pictures don't reflect the size and quality of this cozy space. The furnishings are high quality and thoughtful and the decor is tasteful and welcoming. We were so impressed by the attention to details and to our comfort while staying there! Our hosts were friendly and accessible and seemed to anticipate everything that we could possibly need. I highly recommend this place and urge anyone looking for a warm haven to give it a try.

About the host

Whitney and I love Southern Vermont and all it has to offer. Our newly renovated Bunkhouse has all the charm and coziness our guests want and expect for a Vermont get-away, and we love helping to make good memories.
Why they chose this property
The Bunkhouse is located in the perfect location in Manchester, in-between Manchester Center, the quaint town with Northshire Bookstore, outlet stores, restaurants and unique independent shops, and Manchester Village, which offers historic churches, the Equinox and Taconic Hotels, and Equinox Mountain! You can walk in either direction for great shopping and fine dining. To the West of our property you will need to visit the Southern Vermont Art Center (SVAC), which showcases local and nationally known artists and musicians, also within walking distance! On the backside of SVAC is a hikers paradise - a trailhead to access the many glorious miles of trails that weave across and up Mt. Equinox. The Bunkhouse is in a very quiet spot, but close to all the action!
What makes this property unique
In your cozy barn apartment, with radiant floors and the finest quality bedding, you will be close to all that Manchester and the area has to offer. Whitney and I are in the main house if our guests have any questions or problems, or need assistance in any way.
