The property was clean and well taken care of. Very comfortable stay. My only complaint is that we weren’t aware that there is another ADU in the back being rented out as well. The backyard is shared and if you have the curtains open the people staying there can see directly in all rooms of the house. Other than that, everything was great.
The house we stayed in for 3D & 3N was big, beautiful, comfortable, and gave complete privacy which we could never get in a hotel. The kitchen was amazing with everything we needed. Nick the owner was quick to reply to our questions and he is a gracious host. My only suggestion would be less lights coming in the bedroom at night from the yard
The host was great with communication and our stay was seamless, comfortable and perfect. Beautiful home and space - we would definitely come back if in the area again!
The Ruby Rose was the perfect home for a family after a long day of hiking Jedidiah Smith State Park. Both the front and back living room space had lots of pillows and blankets and lighting, a nice place to chill and read a book. We appreciated the extra comfy beds, the coffee/tea station, and the extra swim towels. Do stay and visit the redwoods!
This house made our family getaway feel like home. It’s located close enough to activities but feels off the beaten path. Quiet and extremely comfortable. super clean and spacious. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with all we needed to cook for our meals. We will definitely stay again. Highly recommend this house.
The property had everything we needed, including kitchen utensils, towels, and linens. We would stay at this property again because it was a great place to stay. It was clean, comfortable, and well-located. The host was also very responsive and helpful.
We loved this house. Very clean. Well maintained. Lots of space for my family of six. Nick was very responsive to any questions we had. Great location, too. Had an amazing experience visiting the redwoods.

The Ruby Rose is spacious and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is large, functional, and has everything you need to cook. We enjoyed the living room watching some TV and the round dining table playing board games. It's a bit of a drive (~10 min) from the center of Crescent City, but it was not a problem overall. The three bedrooms are all next to each other and there's one bathroom right next to them. The second bathroom is behind the kitchen, quite far from the bedrooms.
The house is well appointed, extremely comfortable and spacious. Felt more like a rental home, than a rental house. Great jump off point for exploring the Redwoods and local beaches. We highly recommend the property to anyone needing to stay in the Crescent City area. We’ve rented a lot of coastal homes, this is definitely one of the best.
Perfect House Close to the Redwoods and Oregon Beaches
The pictures don’t do this house justice. It was a great house with plenty of room and a great layout. Super close to the Jedediah Redwoods. About 30-40 minutes away from Brookings Oregon, and a lot of amazing beach hikes. Beds were all comfortable and had a great laundry room and kitchen.

N/A. Was unable to stay because I was in the ER in Medford.
Loved this house. Had all the amenities we needed with lots of space to put our stuff. It was very clean and comfortable. Lovely backyard. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Close to all the activities we planned—beaches, redwoods, 4th of July celebrations. Would definitely stay again.
One of the better rentals I’ve booked in recent memory. We were a group of 4 adults and one toddler. This place was perfect for us. Having 2 living spaces was great to spread out. Plenty of utensils, paper products, spices, and overall this house felt a lot like something that’s owned with care and not a volume rental. Would come back in a heart beat!
PS the neighbor across the street sells eggs by the dozen that cost less than at the store!
We stayed here for a trip to the Redwoods and this house was perfect in every way. The location was great for visiting the state parks and the ocean, and the proximity to Crescent City was perfect for meals. We loved lounging on the couch after hiking during the day and also did some stargazing in the backyard! It was just me and my partner, but this house would be perfect for a group or a family (we are trying to convince our family to come with us next time!) Nick was a spectacular host - so responsive, so helpful, and very accommodating when we asked for a late check in. Overall, just an absolute great place to stay and visit. Would HIGHLY recommend and we look forward to visiting again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. It’s a delightful blend of modern upgrades and older charm. Cozy, pretty bedrooms with very comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, a pretty living room to sit and read, and a lovely family room where we all snuggled into the couches and enjoyed a movie on the huge tv. We had no problem signing into our streaming services and the WiFi worked well. It rained most of our stay, which didn’t bother us at all, but in better weather we would have loved to enjoy the patio and backyard because the landscaping is beautiful. One thing to note is that there isn’t a master bathroom attached to the master bedroom, which still worked great for us because there were two full bathrooms available in the house. There is a second rental available on this property (a smaller guest house in the back of the property) but we only saw their car parked in their designated space. We still had total privacy. We loved our meals at Seaquake Brewing and SeaFront Bakery, had a charming visit at the Battery Point lighthouse, and especially loved the close proximity to the Howland Hills drive and hikes in the Jedediah Smith Redwoods state park. We hope to stay at this property again on our next trip through.
