The property was gorgeous, secluded and clean. It was easy to get to, and since the place was so clean you were able to relax immediately. The yard and hot tub were well maintained and it was so relaxing being able to sit on the porch and listen to the birds. It is so close to Jedidiah state park where we loved hiking. Would absolutely stay again!
This home was perfect for a multi-night stay exploring the Northern Redwoods. The location is impeccable if you're looking for tranquility and easy access to the Smith River. The stream out front is so peaceful to listen to in the mornings while sitting on the porch having a cup of coffee. The hosts were very responsive and kind. This was the perfect place to unplug. We would absolutely stay again!
We had a wonderful 3 night stay exploring the Redwoods and Oregon coast. The cabin was clean, well stocked and had everything needed for a getaway out in nature. A highlight was sitting on the front porch and listening to the birds chirping away and viewing the little creek in the back. So delightful! We hope to be back in the area sometime in the future and would not hesitate to book again.
Wonderfully situated property, forest all around, small creek in the backyard, bucolic as can be. Clean, comfy inside. Property owners were excellent to communicate and coordinate with. Highly recommend.
Totally secluded. Cozy and beautiful surroundings. The hot tub worked great. The stream is literally steps from the front door. And just minutes from the smith river and some giant redwoods. Stunning location. We will be back for sure.
We enjoyed our stay at this home, it was cozy and clean and worked for our family. We really appreciated how close it was to the forks, at great spot for swimming.
Beautiful location very close to Smith River and Jedidiah Smith Redwoods sites. The cabin was everything we hoped for - clean, cozy and peaceful. Would recommend!
The cabin was exactly as advertised. It was clean and ready to go upon arrival. Everything worked and was an absolute joy to be in. Very satisfied with our escape.
Loved our stay at this property! It is clean and well stocked. Location to our desired choice near the Redwoods was great. The hot tub was wonderful after a day of hiking; sitting on the porch with morning coffee was equally delightful. Property owner very responsive and pre arrival info is thorough. Hope to return to the area again and, if so, look forward to staying here again.
Excellent house and location. All the basic essentials are available including a hot tub under the front porch. Trees and green tree bath free of charge. Nancy is wonderful and professional.
We could not have asked for a better place to stay on our first trip to the Redwoods. The cabin was clean, kitchen was fully stocked and the hot tub was the perfect end to every day. Our only suggestion is that perhaps the TV is moved to a better location in the living room. While we definitely were not there to watch TV, we did have early nights with our infant and wished the TV was more centered on the living room, or even on a swivel mount. But honesty I am just nitpicking. We will definitely recommend and if we are in the area again we would stay again.

Great Stay
We truly enjoyed our stay. The solitude this property provides is amazing. My wife and I enjoyed time sitting on the porch enjoying the peace and quite. Location is reasonable for redwood exploring or trips to the beach. We also enjoyed the easy walk down to the Smith River for some afternoon swimming.
Only downfall was the access code to the key box was wrong when we arrived. We didn't have a contact phone number, just an email. We didn't get a response back but figured out the code given to us was off by one number. It all worked out but did add a bit of stress to the start of our stay. all is well that ends well. This place is amazing!
The place was cute, clean, and just what we needed! It's on a little street surrounded by other houses, so I wasn't expecting that, but we couldn't see them once we got down the driveway, so it's still secluded a bit. The place was very clean, except for the dryer. We went to dry our clothes after washing them, and realized that there was a bunch of leftover sand, I guess from the last people that stayed there. So, I had to spend about a half hour cleaning it before I was able to use it. Other than that, everything was perfect! It took us about 30 minutes to get to town (groceries, restaurants) from here and about an hour to get to Redwoods, but it was a very scenic beautiful drive the majority of the way, so it wasn't bad at all! Overall, it was a great place to stay and I would definitely stay again next time we visit!
The location was amazing! So quiet, easy walking around the property. Loves the hot tub and porch. Great kitchen and bathrooms. Could have used more towels if there were more than two of us.
Beds were mostly comfortable but the bedframe was VEY VERY loud. Would highly recommend getting actual drama but homemade ones. Blackout curtains would also be nice. And new pillows for the guest room.
TV needs to be moved! I would put it over the fireplace or get some kind of mount that you can angle it. It is unusable in the current location.
It was cold while we were there so we had to use the heat while we were there. The HVAC was VERY VERY VERY loud. Not sure if anything can be done about that but it was very uncomfortable to be in the house while it was running.
All and all dispute the weather we had a great trip.
Hopefully some of my recommendation can be made. We would like to come back again with our kids. They would love the creek.
All and all
I have lived in Gasquet. The beauty is breathtaking and hiking among the old growth trees is one of the most special experiences of my life. I have lived in remote latin american countries doing nursing and am bilingual in Spanish. I remain comfortable in remote areas and am glad to share this place with others.
Why they chose this property
Trees and complete privacy with a creek and within walking distance to the Smith River create the most peaceful place I have ever lived. Natural azalea blooms on the edge of the creek and perfume the forest. There are many ferns throughout the property including the fern with five fronds.
