Incredible view! Wonderful little cabin that lives up to its name. Convenient location, yet peace and quiet in abundance. Wake up to birds singing and the sound of the waves lures you to sleep. Beautifully decorated. My daughter and I had a great time. Thanks Teresa. Can't wait to be back!
Everything was great! Just read the book about the property and amenities…some crucial details about heat and hiking around the neighborhood. Definitely would stay again!
Beautiful, unique property. Clean and well equipped for our stay. Bathroom and stairwell are small, so if you are larger in stature you may find it somewhat difficult to maneuver. Loved the trail to the water being close by. We had the "beach" to ourselves each time we went down. TONS of shells and fossils down there. Saw bald eagles and herons as well. The master bed is adjustable, which was a huge bonus for us. Overall it was a great trip and the kids didn't want to leave.
House was very nice and tidy and exactly as described. The host had a small binder full of helpful info including local restaurants and attractions. There was so much to do and everything was close bye.
The guidebook binder at the property helpfully had details about the Soul Oasis, like how to operate the heaters and fireplace, and suggested local spots and restaurants to visit. Also, the kitchen conveniently had many pots and pans and tools. The view of the water was a highlight!
The cozy cabin had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was in a very private setting with the beach access a few houses away. You can hear the Chesapeake bay lapping at the shore and catch a glimpse of sail boats going by. We enjoyed our time at the home.
The soul oasis was exactly what he hoped it would be! The host was stellar and we felt very welcome! The scenery was serene and the added dusting of snow was a nice surprise! Nice touches throughout the home. We hope to visit again in a different season. The property name is fitting for anyone seeking to recalibrate and rest! Thank you!
Great host and beautiful location. Zero complaints. The host was very accommodating, even when we had to reschedule last minute. Property was clean and had plenty of amenities.
The A-frame cottage was clean and comfortable. I was accompanied by my son and two grandchildren (ages 12 and 14), and we really loved it. We went fishing in bay at the beach area below the cottage, and also did a lot of fossil hunting along the cliffs, which are breathtaking. Our host Teresa was extremely helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be going back!

Soil Oasis is a wonderful property! Even prettier than the photos online, and the outdoor amenities (fire pit, deck chairs, hammock) are such a nice perk. Teresa was incredibly accommodating with my schedule change and the details she provided on-site for local recommendations and directions to the beach were greatly appreciated. Beds were very comfortable, everything was clean and organized, and the property was quiet.
Great little spot to enjoy the coast and Calvert Cliffs area. Close enough to shopping and restaurants but still secluded in nature. Teresa was great with answering questions timely and had the place looking good when we got there.
The place was clean and had a home away from home feel. We enjoyed the walk down to the beach and the restaurants near by. The wildlife was everywhere you looked enjoying the peace.
The house is clean and cozy, with everything you need for a short trip, and the host was responsive. The nearby beach is fun for exploring - we saw a large snapping turtle in the pond there! The location was perfect for going shark tooth hunting and visiting Solomons. We would happily stay here again!

About the host
Hosted by Teresa Ward
I've lived in Southern Maryland my entire life. I work as a Hospice nurse and manage two short-term rentals in Southern Maryland. I love the beach - sharks tooth hunting, kayaking and paddle boarding. When guests aren't at the house, you can often find me there walking the beach and hunting for sharks teeth and fossils!
Why they chose this property
I love how secluded the house feels. It provides instant relaxation. If you don't feel like walking the short walk down to the beach, you can sit on the deck and hear the waves from the hammock!
What makes this property unique
A cute little A-frame with lots of personality! The spiral steps lead to the cozy loft bedroom. There is a balcony off of this bedroom. There is so much wildlife to see - deer, frogs, all kinds of birds and turtles. And lots of military planes that fly overhead from Pax River base.
