3 bd 2 ba 1700 sq ft renovated home secluded yet close to many area attractions
Located right between Sylva and Waynesville bordering with Blue Ridge Parkway, this gorgeous retreat will be just the place to get away from it all and breathe in some fresh air. As far as views from the home, in the fall and winter there will be short range views of the mountains. In the spring and summer, green foliage is almost all that will be viewed. - Fire pit - 2 bedrooms with queen beds and 1 with full bed. - Downtown Sylva nd Waynesville with tasty restaurants & breweries ~10 min both. - Blue Ridge Parkway entrance ~5 min. - Harrah's Cherokee Casino ~30 min. - Great Smoky Mountains national park ~35 min. - Lake Glenville public beach and picnic area ~40 min. - Asheville ~40 min. - Hot Springs ~60 min (need to book ahead). - Cataloochee Ski Area ~ 30 min. - Amazing hiking within minutes. Easy day trip to Asheville, Great Smokey Mountain National Park or Blue Ridge Parkway! - Dogs welcome! There will just have to be some rules for the pets. Please no pets on the bedding and furniture. Please clean up the waste in common areas, so guests aren't stepping in/tracking waste into home or car.
The space - Well-equipped kitchen offering stainless steel appliances, breakfast bar seating, and spacious granite countertops for all your vacation cooking projects. - Entertainment will be at your fingertips thanks to the free WiFi internet and brand-new smart TVs with active Amazon Prime and HBO Max (use you own streaming services - just log out before leaving). There’s no access to satellite or cable TV. - The master bedroom features a queen bed with attached big and bright bathroom and small working space. - New beds, pillows, memory foam mattresses. - Big deck with firepit. - Gas grill - Darts, table football, air hokey. - Guides to surrounding areas, books and magazines.
Parking notes: Two covered parking spots are available one car can be parked on a driveway. Please do not park or drive on the grass - skeptic located there. As you approach the home, Rosemount Road will drop to 2 lane gravel road for about a 400 ft before you make it to the home (first left turn after gravel road begins). The gravel road can be washed with some ruts after heavy rains. Also, in the extremes of winter when there is heavy snow or ice some of these roads may have ice. A lot of the vehicles that access the home including mine are not 4 wheel drive. However, I have had guests that have recommended that especially if you are not use to driving mountain roads. Road is state maintained and will be cleared as there are full time residents living in this region. There is no space to turn around as you parked, so to get back to the road you will need to back up.
Security camera details: Active security cameras are installed in the parking area.

Beautiful view at this great location. The house has an open family floor plan and the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need, we did cook a few meals & needed nothing more. Everything we needed and more was right there, super close. Walmart, train station, Cherokee, etc. We would definitely stay there again. I will say the drive way was pretty steep, I definitely recommend you backing in. We got our full size Tundra under the carport.

The house is spacious, with a cozy common area, a comfortable sofa, and a grill that we enjoyed using.
However, there were some issues: we saw a mouse in the kitchen, the house was very cold on arrival, and the bedsheets and duvets were insufficient and uncomfortable. No dishwasher capsules were provided, so we had to wash dishes by hand. Preheating the house and providing clean cotton sheets, quality duvets, and dishwasher capsules would greatly improve the stay. The house is spacious, with a cozy common area, a comfortable sofa, and a grill that we enjoyed using.
