Room to spread out and relax

Big, older home in lovely Jamestown. Creaky, but charming. Very well appointed with kitchen supplies, bedding, games, books. Backyard is a large oasis and screened in so great for smaller children and your pup. We were just adults with adult children dropping in, but think this would be superb spot for a larger family with youngsters. Owner was very responsive to any questions, issues we encountered. Jamestown is beautiful!

The house was a great size and in good condition. The lack of central A/C meant there were a lot of window units which was nice but the MBR unit made a lot of noise which interfered with sleep. Some of the screens had holes so opening those windows or sliders was tricky with mosquitoes. The kitchen was well-equipped and the common areas were very good. The yard and back deck/patio were fantastic. I think the house had well water so the water pressure was a challenge at times. Overall a good house for a large group.

Hi Thank you for your nice comments. I am glad you enjoyed the house and the beautiful yard. I am sorry the AC in the main Bedroom kept you awake. Some are ok with the white noise but clearly it disturbed you. I will get on to the Mosquito nets and get them fixed or renewed. You are correct about the well water. The north end of Jamestown is all on wells and two showers going at the same time will have less pressure. I hope you enjoyed your stay and please come back any time.
