We had such a relaxing weekend! We went fishing, enjoyed the hot tub, climbed the rocks while visiting the goats. Our 7-year-old had such a fun time adventuring around the property. The hosts made sure we had everything we need and were very welcoming.
The cabin is beautiful. It's quiet, the scenery is peaceful and gorgeous. We fell in love with the porch, with rockers and a swing to just enjoy the days. I think we've decided that we will need one of those. We found everything we needed, picked up groceries from Walmart on the way in, and found a few awesome little places to eat. It was a fun trip. We would definitely come again. Thanks Sandy for the hospitality!
Very near to Little River Canyon which we like a lot. The cabin was private and the large property was great with goats, cows,(my wife said she saw horses?),rock formations, and a cool slide. I highly recommend Bear Creek Log Cabins.
It's breathtaking area and the cabin is beautiful and welcoming..... The owners are amazing and have thought of everything to make the stay perfect....
Serene location with a gorgeous view! We loved having a relaxing weekend at Josie Mae’s cabin. The location is perfect for exploring Little River Canyon. The host was responsive and could not be more kind. The cabin is lovely—decorated with authentic antiques and comfortable furniture. We found it to be very clean and well-appointed. The expansive wrap-around porch looks out onto a pond and the canyon beyond. We fished, petted the goats, relaxed in the excellent hot-tub, and enjoyed the natural scenery ( which included a family of groundhogs living in the barn behind the cabin!) we will definitely be back! I will note that this cabin is not as secluded as the others, which are tucked away on wooded parcels, but the openness affords the most wonderful views.
Beautiful scenery. Great place if you love the outdoors. The cabin was very clean and the decorations was amazing. We loved spending time in the hot tub. My kids loved the playground with goats as well.
Close enough to town (Fort Payne) yes far enough away it's quiet and relaxing. Found some quaint shops in town as well an awesome (gas station) cafe` close to Little River Canyon. Would definitely return for another long weekend.
My husband an I wanted a long weekend get away for our first anniversary. Needless to say this will be our go to place for our future anniversaries! Great cabin, super sweet owners. Made us feel very welcome. Definitely recommend this place!
My wedding gift to my son and his new bride was a getaway to this cabin. I could not have picked a better place! The owners were wonderful, everything was clean, the views are spectacular, the animals a breath of fresh air and the entire experience was SIMPLY PERFECT.
The place was very clean. I expected the cabin to smell old since it was built in the 1800s but it didn’t. The place was well cared for. The sunrise views were amazing.
Even though there are other cabins on the property, we were spread out enough that we had plenty of privacy.
Thank you Randy and Sandy for sharing your property with us!
