Great for out little weekend in Des Moines

We really enjoyed staying here! It was such a cute little place and very quiet. It was close to all the things we wanted to do and easy to get in and out of. Parking was on the street but that was not a problem at all.

My kids and I stayed for the weekend to go see Slipknot. House was clean and comfortable. Quiet for an apartment. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Family visit

Great location. The first apartment we were assigned was not cleaned, but the host contacted us within 20 minutes and moved us to another unit. All was good.

The unit has "air conditioning" but it is not central air. There are two mobile air conditioning units which are in the bedrooms and cannot be removed from there. Thus, the living area, bathroom and kitchen are very warm if the weather outside is hot. Also, there is no washer or dryer in the unit itself. There may be one available to pay to use somewhere in the building.If traveling with mobility restricted persons - the shower cannot be used unless a person is able to step into an old fashioned bath tub, sitting on feet. So, it is cumbersome to raise one's leg high enough to get in if there are mobility issues.

Not happy

Never got to make it there and tried to cancel less than 48 hours because of a family emergency but was denied because it wasn’t 14 days or seven days prior to the date I was gonna stay which, I didn’t book until six days before I was going to stay. Was told that cancellation policy was on the receipt, which was of course after I booked. Vrbo told me that it was up to the owner said they couldn’t because of the it’s policy.

Don't stay here on a Wednesday night, it's trash day on Thursday with other apartment buildings surrounding our unit so lots of noise for 20-30 minutes. Queen bed was supposed to be a King. Parking lot security light shone in bedroom window with no room darkening shades. Found a pice of glass from a broken drinking glass on the bedroom floor. Approximately the size of a 50cent pie e. Woke up to lots of small brown ants in every room.

The apartment was just what we were looking for for a weekend in Des Moines with my daughter, and our dog. Both bedrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, and the place was cozy. And it was just minutes away from the restaurants, farmers market, and other sites we want to visit. most places were under 10 minutes awa. The area was a pet friendly too with green space and nice neighborhood for walks and plenty of street parking
