Great place for a few families who want to stay together. Plenty of room for everyone and a lot of separate sitting areas for those who want some alone time. The barn great room is wonderful with a table that easily sits 12 for dinner and a huge TV and couch to watch a movie at night.

Wonderful Stay for Wedding Guests

We had a wonderful stay - there was about 9 of us and we comfortably stayed in this beautiful place. Taxi drivers were very easily able to find the house.

Ideal Family Getaway

Kevin was an extremely accommodating host. He was responsive and compassionate. Perfect setting to spend time with family to have an idyllic Block Island getaway. The houses are spacious and the grounds are great for spending time outdoors. Too a jog to the nearby nature preserve. This is where memories are made!

Great stay!

We had a great time. It is often very hard to find a place to accommodate lots of people on block island - but this was a perfect place. My whole family and friends were able to stay here. Barn is the perfect place to hang out. Great kitchen. All in all a great stay. Just make sure you have a way to get in and out of town!

We had a wonderful time at Mildred’s Place. We had a big group with of varying ages that all fit comfortably in the house and barn. The Barn was a hit with the kids to hang out while the adults finished up dinner. The bedding was nice and beds comfortable. The ability to turn on central air when it was hot and muggy was definitely the highlight and not something you see often with BI rentals. The owners truly care about your experience and were in communication when needed. The check in and out process could not have been easier. We will definitely be back.

Family patriarch funeral

Spent only 3 days but wished we could have stayed longer. House was all we expected and then some. Grounds were beautiful and the animals next door proved wonderful for the grandkids. Love to come back

We loved this property. The expansive lawn area for soccer and badminton. We had AC but the breezes were so lovely we used it only 1 evening. The kitchen has everything. All the spices,oils,paper products so convenient and necessary when you first arrive. The beds are the ultimate so comfortable. The additional dwelling was a plus large table for family dinners and hand out space with large TV. Only comment is an umbrella for shade on the front porch would have made enjoying the porch and seating that much more enjoyable. Nice gas grill and big gas stove in Kitchen!! Thank you for renting your property to my family it was memorable!!Cathy

Great BI stay

This is a truly amazing property and a great accommodation for a large group. We went with a group of friends: 7 adults and 2 under 2 and the house was big that it never felt cramped. The abandoned jeep on the property makes for great pictures and the free roaming animals will keep you entertained throughout the stay!! We will be frequent flyers of this property as it’s the perfect spot to meet once a year and make awesome memories as the kids grow. The owner is super responsive and helped us troubleshoot the WiFi and sent over the property manager right away. They are still working on the house and when it’s done it will be all the better! A true gem

Wonderful spot for a family reunion!

We loved the house and "barn" for our family get-together. Plenty of space for all of us. We could gather together to eat at the large table or spread out across the two buildings The house and property are lovely. The kitchen is well equipped for a group. Excellent wifi. We enjoyed walking and running on the nearby Greenway trails and walking down to Cooneymus beach to watch the sunsets. Recent renovations have updated the bathrooms, although a couple of minor things were not yet finished. Communication from the host was quick. Turkeys, deer, peacocks abound. We highly recommend this property for your group!

Weekapaug Groovin on BI

Wowie wow we loved Mildred’s Place. Pretty much has it all! Excellent and clean kitchen. Lots of gathering options for game day and entertaining. Heaps of different sleeping configurations which was perfect for my group of dads. We loved the deck too! Overall the place is cozy but also with lots of room to spread out. We took advantage of the grassy yard space as well. Super nice walk down to the beach. I didn't need to call Kevin at all because the place was perfect, but when I had a question about check-out, he was Johnny-on-it! I'll come back to Mildred's Place again with this group, and probably a family reunion. I've stayed in many vrbos and I give this 5 stars all around.

Beautiful property! There’s a cottage charm to the main house, but with updated everything and ample room for a large group. We enjoyed family dinners on the deck, watching the west side sunset. Then we’d move to the updated barn to play cards while the kids enjoyed a movie and popcorn. Having two houses on one property was super convenient. We all had our own space, and still had a lot of time together. The property is peaceful and quiet with soft sounds from the neighboring farm and a bell buoy ringing in the distance. The expansive yard is a perfect place for the kids to play wiffle ball or soccer. Kevin, the host, is very responsive and flexible. I am a planner and organized packer (maybe to a fault) and I coordinate this trip for our family of five plus in-laws and friends, so I started reaching out to Kevin a couple weeks ahead of our trip. He was always great at providing information about the property and supplies so that I was able to plan ahead. He was communicative throughout our stay as well, and just lovely to work with. I highly recommend booking this property for your next family BI trip.

Great Home! Beautiful, Spacious, Well-appointed

we had a great stay here. bedrooms are great sizes. utilization of space is incredible, the barn is a major amenity offering space to play games and relax together comfortably. The bedroom upstairs is so thoughtfully and beautifully designed. offering 2 full baths was such a bonus! views of Rustic Ride's horses at the fence and sunsets were our favorite. Main house has fantastic space as well. commercial grade stove! new appliances and cozy living room. last and not least is the deck- wraps around, can hear the waves from beach at night. propane outdoor fireplace was amazing, we used it nearly every evening. Kevin worked with us guiding our check-in process when we notified we were on the island. he was professional, communicative and great to work with in booking this home.

The property was was wonderful for our family. We had 3 children 3, 4, and 7. They really enjoyed the barn where they could watch TV or play with the many toys that were there. The deck was fantastic for grilling and enjoying the evening breezes. Kevin, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. He responded in a timely manner whenever we contacted him.We travel with a family dog and we expecially appreciate the fact that we coud close off the deck so that the dog could be outside and yet confined. We will definitely rent this property again. Thank you for a lovely relaxing vacation.
