Waterfront Lake Home on Tranquil Harwinton Lake with spectacular 180⁰ view.

Enjoy a lovely classic New England vacation in this lake front,open concept, home on Harwinton Lake. Relax and enjoy the beautiful 180⁰ scenery and gentle breezes. During the summer months swim directly from the backyard, or if you prefer to have company, a short walk will take you to the shared community beach (there are a total of 3 sandy beaches around the lake). Our home provides a spacious yard and deck for barbecuing, sun bathing (lounge chairs provided), swimming, kayaking (one and two person kayak provided), fishing (lake is stocked with trout, bass, perch), or napping in the hammock for 2. You can also enjoy a 2 mile walk or bike ride around the lake. Our home is light and bright, open concept with wall to wall windows overlooking the water and we have a lovely wood burning fireplace for romantic evenings or a large firepit by the waters edge for s'mores!
In the winter months: enjoy ice skating, ice fishing, and ski areas are close by.

Amenities: central air/heat, stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer, Smart TV, linens and towels, as well as beach blanket and towels are provided.
Lots of great restaurants, shopping, antiquing, wine trails, golfing, river tubing, Warner Theater for shows are all close by, and Mohegan Sun and Foxwood Casinos are within an hours drive. Lots to do and see or just relax and do nothing!

This house was perfect for our family of 3 to stay at while visiting extended family for the holidays. The open floorplan of the kitchen-living-dining room worked really well for us. The beds were comfortable and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. Can't wait to stay again sometime when the weather is nice to enjoy the lake.

Wonderful little house with modern amenities like washer/dryer and dishwasher. House was labeled and directions/manual were clear. Host was communicative and helped us when we had questions. The lake was mostly frozen but my husband was able to get a line in the water for a bit. Loved it!

The house was in very close proximity to a small beach which we enjoyed with the grandkids. The kitchen is well stocked with all the dishes and pans you need. The description of the place in vrbo is accurate with a beautiful view of the lake. Shower pressure good, beds comfortable, and air conditioning great.

Perfect Getaway

This property was the perfect escape for an extra long weekend. The house is modern and clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The lakeside fire pit as well as the indoor fireplace were both wonderful. The neighborhood and lake are beautiful. It was a very peaceful spot. Ella, the owner was very responsive to questions. I would definitely rent again.The only thing that could be improved is to add a dock for easier access to the water.

We love the water and especially this lake. We looked for years before buying a home on beach drive. The scenery from this side of the lake is quite breathtaking and tranquil.

Why they chose this property

No motor boats on the lake, just small electric engines, kayaks and sail boats. When the sun sets it creates a picture image of the trees and homes from across the lake on the lake surface.
